Fuck that episode got to me in the end...

The fact that she went back to how she was before annoyed me. She had miles of development and the writers destroy it in one blow. I mean sure it had to go and some of that may have lead to 11's problems in The Snowmen because he believes it does not help anyone. But come on we need more good people in this world. Present!! :)

I'll give you some facts about the series and let you decide yourself wether it's something you want to try out. If you do, try and find Episode 11 of Series 3 "Blink", it's a very good episode to come into the series on.

There are two kinds of Dr. Who. Classic Who started in the early 1960s and continued for well over 700 episodes until a several-year-long break. The show was rebooted and the fans call it New-Who.

All of those gifs you're seeing and most of the fans you'll meet on here are fans of New-Who which is structured far more like a regular T.V. program, having seasons with about 12-14 episodes each in them. You don't need to know about Classic Who to get into New-Who meaning the 700+ episodes of Old Who can be considered entirely optional and most New-Who fans haven't seen them.

With that background out of the way I can say that New-Who is mixed at best. Because of the nature of the show there are a lot of very absurd ideas but because the focus of the show is more on the characters than what it is they are doing the show works, even in the most absurd of situations. You'll see a lot of people with different opinions on Dr. Who because the actor who plays The Doctor (The main character) switches every now and then and he does so in a way that is actually explained within the world. Rather than dying he just completely remakes himself, giving himself a new personality and look.

Because of this simply narrative mechanic the show has remained fresh for a over 800 episodes making it the longest running Sci-Fi show of all time, beating out Star Trek by miles. The fact that it is a Time-Travel show that can have adventures anywhere in history also helps keep it fresh.

The Doctor has never been played by a bad actor but because each incarnation of the Doctor is played so differently to every other version you're likely to find some versions you like more than others.

That should be enough for you to decide.

You can probably find somewhere online if you look hard enough but since I'm British and I get every episode on Netflix I don't need to search online. If you've got Netflix then you may be able to catch some, if not all of the episodes.

(Note, that is assuming you aren't British... and if you are then... uhm... Netflix is only £5 man. I've spent more on pasties!)

US Netflix has all the episodes too.

It's okay, mate. By the way, just as the MLP fandom has "Bronies" and Star Trek has "Treckies" and anime has "Otaku", Dr who fans tend to call themselves "Whovians".

If you're looking to watch the show then you can probably find it online somewhere but I've got most of the episodes on Netflix.

Also, since I'm nice and it offers a good window into the world of Dr. Who, I'll put some links in to a review site that has some people that review episodes of Dr. Who. They're all fan-boys of the show and they all have different outlooks on the show so you can get a good scope of the Vox Populi from them.

This is a top ten for the best moments of Christopher Eckleston's Doctor (He was the 9th) Avoid if you don't want any spoilers but honestly it's rare that Eckleston's run ever throws anyone for a loop. It's more about the journey than the ending.

Dr.Who, started in 1962 (if im correct) and almost never stopped airing, and had a few spin offs, also you can either start from the start or atleast 9th Dr on netflix

1963-1989, stopped, came back in 1996 with 1 time movie of 8th dr then returned in full broad cast in 2000/20001 with 9ths and hasnt stopped running, so it stopped for 7 years roughly

You should start with 'season one', its a reboot that came out at 2005 and it starts with the 9th Doctor. Its basically from scratch so you'll know whats going on and what has happened after the first two/three ep's.
I cant say exactly where to watch it, i know a place called watchseries(dot)eu or watchtvseries(dot)eu but the sites is a bit messy at the moment since their changeing servers or something (and ad's, lots of ad's) i believe if you put .li or maybe .ch it'll have the links, all free but a lot of trail and error since the videos go up and come down periodically.

TL;DR Go for it, start with the ninth Doctor, season 1 (2005) all will be fine, trust me, just Google it you'll find something at worst.

Some episodes serve as great introductions to The Doctor and you always remember your first great episode. Mine was Blink. A fast intro to the world of The Doctor. And a great one at that.

I'd start at the new series (the one that started in 2005) if you're just starting out. And it should be available on let me watch this.com (no spaces) it has a ton of pop ups.
