I would say the 2005 series one because that's when the show 'starts' but if you want to watch from the first Doctor start from 1963 series one :)

Start with season 1. I liked eccelston and if i started anywhere else i would have felt lost

I'd say start on season 2. That's where David Tennant comes in.
You could start on season one, but I didn't really like Chris Eccelston that much, don't know why.
Also, I'm just talking about the newest version of the show. Never seen any of the old ones.
