You're not a monster, you're fantastic.

BTW, I'd appreaciate people saying "the 9th Doctor" instead of "Christopher Eccleston". This post alone has already given me 18 notifications.

Eccleston was really good but he didn't have enough time, David was my favorite but his companions are the worst, and Matt is doing a good job.

I don't know. All three are great as the Doctor. Tenant is my favourite, maybe because he was the longest in the show since the new series and there's only three different actors so far. His acting was just brilliant whether he was mad, happy, sad or anything.

I prefer David Tennant over any other doctor, because not only did he put the drama into it, but he put the comedy into it.
Chris (The 9th doctor) Was too serious. He played the part brilliantly, but he was too serious for the part in my opinion.
Matt Smith, is brilliant, but in my opinion, he puts too much comedy, and not enough drama into it.
Either way, I ******* love Dr.Who.

They were really different characters and actors, so it's hard to say which one is my favorite.

Eccleston was a great actor. The 9th doctor was funny and silly, but he still was a strong character.
He was more like a father figure than anything else, one you could trust and would save the day no matter what but would get cross if someone was being bad.

Tennant was a very theatrical actor. Very dramatic and seems more fitting for the stage. I still loved him as the doctor.
The 10th doctor was less the strong type and much more of a relatable and fun character. He also got alot more development.
He now didn't seem like a father figure but more like a friend that would always help you out and knew what to do. He also showed alot more of his dark side and his ego which I loved.

The there's Matt Smith, also a great fit for tv actor. Now we're back to the semi-father uncle type.
You always feel like he has a plan even though he says he doesn't. This is because, you know, he kinda does.
He's alot funnier and alot more goofy and silly, which fits him. It's nice to see the doctor get over the timewar stress.
He's faster when he speaks and is just faster in general and really want to show off. Which I also love and thinks fits him.

I love tham all equaly much and the only thing setting them apart is good writing which Matt definetly has while David has his good parts as well.
Chris didn't really have the time to settle they're writing, which was a shame, but I loved most episodes he was in.

And that is my opinion.

Eccleston was a goddamn professional Dr. He went around and showed Rose **** . Tennant was reborn and working out who he really was, so their adventures were more for discovery and stuff. Smith is them running around having fun and kicking ass

I'm partially convinced that they stopped actually writing episodes when Matt started, instead choosing to just give him some really powerful acid and follow him around with a camera.

And I mean that in a good way.

Eccleston and Piper got me hooked immediately. He was the **** . I don't like him more than Tennant but I like him just as much and praise doesn't get higher than that.
He was also in G.I Joe and therefore is ******* great

Matt Smith is eternally my absolute favorite Doctor. Steven Moffat can do no wrong, and I will forever stick by that.

And for those interested,
It goes
Smith,
Pertwee,
Tennant,
Baker,
Troughton,
Eccleston,
Davison,
Hartnell.

The rest I just haven't gotten to yet.

I've thought much about this, and eccleston gets a lot of hate because of his terrible episodes. Rose was ok, but the unquiet dead? People just don't talk about that. The end of the world, that was the best episode ever right guise? All 3 sliveen episodes? To be frank, dalek was really good, because it showed the doctor's FEAR of the daleks, where nowadays he just cleans up nicely whenever they show up. The finale was alright as well, but the one with simon pegg and the almighty jagraphess was just embarrassing.

All that leaves is the empty child, the only episode passable in all of eccleston's time. It's the absolute best premise with some great horror writing. I recently went back and watched it, and I was just disappointed. Why? Every other character. Everyone's acting all throughout the first season is so absolutely atrocious it makes me cringe. Even with the good episodes the pacing and acting make them so unbearable.

Tl;dr eccleston is best doctor with the most potential and the worst luck

Chris was my first (that I can remember, I used to watch the old ones when I was very young) and my favourite, though he only got one season... He burnt out fast, but burnt bright!

Now that we are confessing stuff, I think Matt Smith is the worst doctor. Before you say/type anything; He is a completely 1 dimensional version of the docter. Both Eccleston and Tennant performed brilliantly, when portraying the doctors dark/sad side. Mr Smith on the other hand couldn't give that same feel of complexity in his performence. (Sorry for potential bad grammar, but English isn't my first language.)

Everyone has their own opinion. I like 10 and 11 equally. 9 was a great Doctor too though, he had some really good episodes.
