the slow invasion i believe. with the cubes. they're all at a party, doctor says "we'll go for a spin", they leave for a few weeks coming back 10 minutes later (to the people in the party). During the journey Amy accidentally says yes to a question she wasn't listening to and WHAM, suddenly married.

The current series isn't a remake, it's actually a continuation of the original series. The original series, however, has been going on since the 60's. The "current" series is the one you'll find on Netflix, and is in it's 7th season, I believe, though only 6 are there right now. That's the one you wanna watch.

There is a spin-off series, also on netflix, called "Torchlight". It's also good, but very dark. It starts shortly after the episode where the Doctor and Jack Harkness deal with the Daleks. I know, kinda cryptic, but I don't wanna spoil anything. It'll make sense when you see it.

Fair warning, the first season will seem a little low budget, but the series' effects budget increased with each season it grew increasingly more popular. It also is one of the best series for seeing storylines that take multiple episodes, or even seasons, to culminate, and they do so wonderfully.

Well thanks, I like sci-fi's and I like watching old shows when the seasons completed on tv. I'm used to watching a marathon in a few sittings I just got into breaking bad, the walking dead, and I just finished lost recently.

He can't go back within his own timeline. Well, he can, but it would most likely create some kind of paradox.

If he shows up late, then goes back to see her when she was young, things would be different in the future when he shows up late, so he might not go back to when she was young. Then if he doesn't go back to when she was young, things wouldn't be different when he shows up late... you get the picture. haha

i mean that it's still fresh in my mind. but if i saw this post before seeing the S6 finale, i would assume that Amy somehow becomes, or is, the Doctor's mother-in-law and as a result, i am not as surprised when it gets revealed in the show.
