In Texas
My holographic gengar was stolen when my sisters best friends brother took it
to the bathroom to "look at my cards" when I was 9. (it was a big deal for me okay?)
Confronted him, says he didn't take it
Sister has seen it at her friends house
Move to New York 1 year later
Sister reconnects with past best friend
Find out her brother is a drug addict and dropped out of school
Bitch please, you can have my card. I hope stealing has served you well

I had about 200 cards stolen from me

You're the people we cried about at night.

I did that to my friend's Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
He was a spoilt brat and his parents had bought him the full set of the Egyptian God cards for his birthday, which cost them a tonne of money.
And the first time he slept over, I stole them and never told him.

Give them back. If he is really your best mate he'll forgive you.

I had a friend who wanted to trade cards with me, because I had a huge deck, but he found like 8 bucks and bought one of those cool starter packs, so he had some good shit. We plan out when and where, because the school didn't like the little economy of pokemon cards we had, so they banned them. He brings in his cards, and he wrote his initials on the front of every corner. I tell him that's bullshit and I'm not trading. He threatens to tell the teacher. FUCKING WOW. I trade him one of my cooler cards for his shit wrote-upon card. Later, find his backpack, take back my card, rip up his. He still has no idea, and we are good friends.

If he happens to be in the same house, just go over and put them somewhere where they might not have been noticed for a few years, but may eventually be noticed. Then he'll find them one day and be like wow why didn't I notice those for 12 years man am I dumb.

You don't have to tell him you took them. Just tell him you found them after all these years under your "magic rug" or some shit. I don't know. It will surely make him happy unless he doesn't give a shit anymore, you can keep them.

Not sure if anyone has said this already, but on his birthday or something, give them back to him, say it took you a while to get ones that were exactly the same as they ones he was missing. You'll have given them back and he'll have his pokemon cards back.
