Most people say to expect the unexpected. If you expect the unexpected, that would make the unexpected expected which would mean you shouldn't expect anything which means you should expect anything, thus reversing expected to unexpected and vise versa repeatedly.

Unless! you expected to confuse someone with a reply that would seem confusing but yet are quite simple, but you know people would find it simple so you expected that people would be confused with a simple phrase acting to be confusing to be simple and the confusion is because the confused expect it to be confusing when it is in reality simple.
