Thank you very much! I never played those games, but I think I heard that in one of the trailers :)

I need advice. I bought the game 2 days ago, couldn't beat the capra demon, went to the forest and killed the butterfly, level 21, went back to capra demon and got *********. What do?

one thing you can do is to get a shield with some good stability so you can kill the two dogs while hiding behind your shield. one way of doing this would be to walk straight forward after going through the fog gate making the capra demon initiate an attack, which you dodge by going backwards, one of the two dogs should be close to you by now, kill it. after the first dog is dead, it's alot easier to get up the stairs and upon the arch, where you can kill the second dog. hold your shield up and face the stairway, the capra demon will swing at you and fall down, after which you can jump down with a plunging attack and perhaps even land another strike after that. back off from the demon, get back from where you jump and repeat until he's dead.

the keys to killing him are
-to get up the stairs
-kill the dogs
-having him fall down, making him vulnerable

note that you'll probably not want to use a weapon with a wide swing, seeing as when you're on top of the stairs you'll have a wall on your right, preventing you from swinging properly, though if you can kill a dog in one swing it's not a problem.

Haha sorry, after I wrote that I tried again and beat him. I killed the gaping dragon and I'm trying to level up to get the dex to wield the dark knight sword. Thanks though

sen's fortress is where you should go. a bow is pretty useful since you can hit the casters while they cannot hit you when standing partially behind a pillar/wall.

For dodging the swinging axes, position your camera nearly in a bird perspective. It's much easier to see where you are safe that way.

bioware? talentless? they made some great games back in the day
they stopped doing that after dragon age:origins
even the awakening DLC (which was worth it's money) was just a short story with the characters just copied from the original game
especially anders

I think the idea is that Bioware could start doing good stuff again. I could have explained that better.

doesn't matter, I blindly bought dragon age 2, thinking it would be a completely new game on the same engine (since it came out so soon) but instead I bought a game I never managed to finish
and everytime I try again, I can't even reach the end of act 1
