That's good.
If you're stuck at Nito, you can easily run past them and all the other monsters after the Leroy invasion place. (Also from the bonfire, but yeah.. That's a bit harder for some).
It's a great way to get to him. Also those little thingies in the water after that place in the gif can drop humanity.

I have a tank build, I take his hits without dodging and I kept hitting him with my dragons tooth, thank god for his spell blast, that kept the skeletons from attacking me while I smashed him.

I don't get it. So, like, is that typical of skeletons to be near a cliff with a second skeleton ready to kick you off so that you'd be able to have the knowledge of using ranged attacks? Because something like that is the only viable way I can think of this game being if it's to preserve what everyone tells me about it where every same enemy has a technique to kill it that you need to remember for each one.

Seriously, how are you supposed to know the second skeleton is on the other side? ESP or some ****? Or is this game exactly like I figured it would be, trial and error where you just play the game through, knowing which specific way to play the game that doesn't kill you? Seriously, I haven't played it yet, and have been torn on whether or not to get it. People tell me things I like, like "It's about recognizing enemies and their weaknesses and being able to dispatch them with it!" which is good for emersion, but then I see **** like this where you have to get lucky to not die during the first trial of a new experience, and it's all one big "**** you!" of traps you're not supposed to see coming because that's how they're designed. That kind of **** is terrible for emersion.

And then you have the fanbase. Someone's a casual just for not liking, or having played a game you like, therefore you need to berate them for it? That sounds like something someone would do if they didn't have any confidence in their game of choice. Like Assassins Creed. I like Assassins Creed like nobody's business. People say it's "for casuals" but people on the internet saying "it's for casuals" isn't going to make it less fun for me to play, so I don't feel the need to respond to that ****.

So seriously, anyone who's played Dark Souls: Why should I get this game?

And please come up with something more enlightening than "It's not a game for casuals, therefore it's better."

this is one of the easiest parts of the gam

you can clearly see theres an alcove to the right, the game rarely puts an archer undefended. The guy who's playing this has nearly completed the game, yet attacks the archer with a really slow attack without looking to your left first, hes just bad/letting a friend play. Also, hes wearing the lightest of armour, kicks/hits throw you away alot easier (as in, more skill required to play with this kind of build).

Also, bad for immersion?
In the story of dark souls, dying alot IS immersion (theres a reason nearly everyone you meet, and you yourself are undead in this game). This isnt some scrub game in which the game creators go easy on you, this game is and stays a challenge, kept at pace excellently to let you evolve.

Honestly it CAN be difficult but at the same time can be easy. It's all about the approach you take to it and your reaction speed your first run through. It's a hack and slash Action RPG where you can't just button mash your way through it. Don't listen to the elitists who are always saying it's not a game for "casuals" because I only have time to game casually .

TLDR: It's a fun game for me, but it was definitely made for a certain audience of gamers. Borrow it from a friend or go rent it somewhere if you're iffy on the purchase.

the game expects you to use caution. There's really no other way to get that far in the game. If you rush into everything like its a hack and slash action game, stuff like this will happen to you.

Because even though you get your ass handed to you, it's really fun whenever you get past an area you've struggled on. For a filthy casual like me winning against the gorgons is probably my biggest gaming achievement. I died so many times, ragequitted just as many and overall the boss was a total bitch.

That's one location where you can't see the second skeleton. It's not trial and error at all, you just need to be patient, if you look around the environment and approach each situation cautiously then you'll do better.

The game isn't hard, it just punishes you for being stupid. You deserve to die 95% of the times you do die. Because you weren't paying enough attention.

Enemies are always in the same spots every time and respawn when you rest at a bonfire. The game for the most part never changes except for a few semi-boss like enemies that don't respawn (and actual bosses don't respawn either). As for this guy he wasn't very good. If he slowed down and observed he should have seen the possibility of an ambush, especially since until this point a ranged skeleton has never been alone, they are always accompanied with another enemy. Dark Souls is a game of patience and trial and error and if you don't like that then don't get it. It isn't for everyone and it sure as hell isn't for casuals. We like it that way.

Dude. I went into the church after killing the first knight that charged at me and the other one just stood there. I stepped inside with my shield up but the other knight didn't move. I was like "Something's not right" and roll jumped backwards. Just as I did, another Knight's sword thrust forward right where I had been standing. Holy **** that felt good, avoiding being stabbed on accident.
