it's from the official art book in the prepare to die edition of the game. and that is not just the **** sagging, those are boobs. trust me i am an expert on boobs.

I get ya mate. Gwyndolin was born a boy, but because Moon Magic is for girls for some reason, Ol' Gwynnie put him in a dress and called him his daughter.
Tits or no, that anor londo firekeeper calls him Lord Gwyndolin, so odds are he's stopped calling himself a girl a long time ago.
You said there wasn't any titty magic.
I said there was a magic coffin that changes your gender, which means growing boobs
you said Gwyn instead of Gwyndolin, and I made a joke about it.
That's where this started to fall apart.
still. im again stuck on a stupid superman vs goku thread( ******* deathbattle just made the whole thing flip upside down..) so im rather irritated by anything that moves...so ill leave.
Gwindolin was born with a strong affinity with the moon, a 'femenine' symbol, while Gwynivere had affinity with the sun, so yeah, you waifu has probably a D. :V
again being raised ass female doesnt suddenly overtake evolution...and there is no evidence to support that being born with a "strong affinity to the moon" does that neither...
I loved EVERY second of this! However I noticed that in the video. The guy went straight to the tomb of the giants after her when to see kingseeker after beating ornstien and Smoug amd THEN went to the crystal caves after the tomb of the Giants...it's that how you're supposed to do it??
You're right but i think it was intended,he is no longer the Lord of Sunlight in his prime. His age is coming to an end and the first flame is fading,he gave is lord soul between the four kings and I think a piece to Seath. The man you fight is a shadow of his former self, Gwyn Lord of Cinder.
Thanks man. I'll try practicing it on little skelly skoos first and then move to bigger things. Sadly, I've only beaten the first boss and I keep having troubles getting to boss #2.
you have trouble with the taurus demon? If you have the master key (only valuable start gift) or residence key then you can open a door past the three douches with the fire bomb thrower. There is a chest there with 3 gold pine resin in. Taurus demon is weak to lightening and will make the fight a lot easier.
Safest way is to jump on his head. Run across the map, then run back, climp up and jump on him again.
I haven't fought him yet. Died to basic enemies along the way (yes, I know, I need to git gud). I also got some ring that raises my HP as my starting gift. Think I should start over? It'll be a bitch to fight that fat thing with a club again, but I think I need the practice anyway. Again, thanks for the advice.
Honestly man it dont matter much what class you start with or so, I go with deprived for a little extra challenge and I get to decide it all from the start, and it's not much harder, you should not need to restart.
Find a good weapon that allows you range and control Great Scythe is my go to weapon but it can be hard to get too in the start of a char if you're not familiar with the catacombs. As said find a weapon that suits you and a good shield, nearly all regular enemies can be blocked easily and taken down after you blocked their attacks, get a bow and arrows aswell, having the bow simplifies a lot by taking them out in a distance or lure them to you.
Avoid getting multiple enemies on you cause that easily makes it much harder, 2x enemies at the same time can make an encounter 3 times as hard thats why I like the great scythe, it got good attack for focusing down 1 enemy and an broad attack for multiple enemies at the same time, you could try asking someone for it, I play on ps3 so I cant sadly.
When on the bosses, dont try to kill them from the start, take the first 30 sec or a min to see their attacks and understand where to jump to avoid and being safe, as a rule dont try to block boss attacks with a shield, it just takes out your stamine and drops you on your ass.
Sorry for a long comment and welcome to Dark Souls where the community always support those who wanna learn.
Pick theif and black firebombs . Use the firebombs on the asylum demon the first time you see him and you'll get his hammer. When you get to Firelink deside what character you're gonna be. Dex or strength. Dex for speed strength for really heavy hits (cost for speed).
I usually go Dex/Pyromancer cause once you get I think 45 in Dex your Pyromancer casting speed is quite a bit faster and Pyro only costs points in attunment (more slots for fire spells) and upgrading of the glove.
So good early build level up Stamina,Vitality,Dex then Attunement (attunement should only go MAX 50 EVER because you only get 10 slots..but you really don't need that much).
Second thing you should do after you level up is Suicide runs! Look up a video on how to get the fire keeper soul in New London Ruins and then just go for it! Plan to die or run back. Then after that go through the graveyard and collect all the loot, don't worry about dying. Seach around Firelink for extra gear and then that's when you head out for the undead burg. (Some other helpful stuff on the picture..I contradicted 2.,11.,and 12. But since the plan is to get the loot and die,it's okay. If you wanna upgrade or repair weapons early there's also a blacksmith in new Londo ruins
I can tell you how I usually start a new game. Always master key, hunter class because start with bow and 30 arrows plus light gear and steady sword. Very skinny build to avoid glitches.
remove all clothes because fast roll is the most important **** ever. first thing I do when I reach firelink shrine:
level up as much STR as possible (need to get to 16)
then go to new londo ruins to get firekeeper soul so that I'll have estus +1 from the beginning. Sometimes I also just rush to blighttown to get the crimson gear early on.
Do you play on PC? would be nice to have a co-op buddy
PVP is getting boring
I DO play on PC. I started with knight because I usually go for tanky builds in games (except monster hunter, I'm trying to get myself an evasion armor in MH4U). I could probably try a lighter build because dodging seems more important than being defensive. That in mind, I would love to do co-op. I just want to warn you that I really, REALLY suck at the game. Took me several tries to kill the first boss because I was so bad at rolling away and getting a good spot. I only beat him because I got super lucky and got stuck on some sweet spot where he couldn't hit me and he had difficulties turning around for some reason.
If we do co-op, do you use skype? I've found it much easier to play co-op games with voice chat.
Just a tip from a long time Souls games expert, playing the game by yourself the first time around is one of the best experiences in the world, I wouldn't recommend getting other people to kill bosses for you, the amount of satisfaction you get by killing a boss after the 50th try is the most rewarding thing you could ever experience. Its definitely worth it to play by yourself, but its up to you, no harm in getting help.
Lobos is such a freaking beast.
You should try doing a crapplemage run, it's great fun. My personal record is 2:30 for all bosses, it's **** when compared to good players, but something you can be proud over.
Why do I recommend this? Because getting a good time is almost the same feeling as when you finally beat a boss you have tried to get for so long.
Yeah I can complete demons souls and dark souls 1 without dying, but lately i've been doing things like no healing/no shields, just random ass challenges I can think of, after a long ass time of playing it and beating it over and over, it gets kinda tedious, but dark souls has some of the best ways to create your own playthrough, like fat roll only-SL1-no healing, that took me a long ass time and it was pretty satisfying to beat the game with. I might try speedrunning though, but I dont think i'd be able to remember every small detail like what buttons to press in what order the fastest way just when leveling up, speedrunners are insane.
The small things like the instant menu management is absolutely insane, a lot harder than it looks.
I recommend checking it "Santzo" on twitch, he is a many time world record holder in all the soulds games (including Bloodborne), right now he is a few seconds off the WR in Bloodborne and I think he holds the DS1 WR.
I was actually looking into the different ways you can fight (magic and stuff) and I was wondering if you could tell me how magic works. I mean, I played around with ranged weapons a bit and figured that out and melee weapons, well, they're self-explanitory, but I haven't even gotten any magic, much less been able to figure out if it's worth investing in the magic-related stats. I did get a talisman, but I don't have any spells. Any advice or information about any of that?
Well there are 3 types of magic, 4 if you have the dlc, but sorcery requires a catalyst and goes off the Intelligence stat, you dont need to worry about upgrading your catalysts because the damage/effects scale off whatever stat they use. Miracles are more about support spells like healing, and you use talismans to cast them, they scale off of faith. And Pyromancy doesn't scale off any stats, you just gotta find a pyromancy flame and upgrade it, they're all mostly for fire damage. You can find a lot of the spells in the world itself, but some of the NPCs sell them. And the attunement stat determines how many spells you can have equipped at once.
Wanna know my favorite thing to do at the start? Start as Hunter and then run through New Londo and grab the Composite Bow as soon as you get to Firelink.
Composite Bow is so strong especially in the early game
Easy tactic for the taurus demon is just to get some firebombs, a bow and a lot of arrows
Basically run out till he jumps out, climb up the tower, throw a few firebombs and then when he jumps up just climb down halfway the ladder till he jumps off.
Then climb back up and rinse and repeat
Once you run out of firebombs, use arrows.
It's a cheap tactic but useful if you're really new and can't get past him otherwise
now, why would nito create the undead curse?
Without life there is no death and he seems to through that paladin and the wall to be working together with Gwyn which means that they would be staving of the curse together
But Gwyns souls item description still describes it as a "powerful thing indeed" and it does glow brighter and more powerful than the other lord souls. Of course, this is no proof. But still though.
aye it does. but you should remember that before that moment he had splitted his soul apart, and his soul had been burned by the first flame as a fuel for it.
you acquiring the rest of gwyns soul just puts it back together giving you a small hint of what he was like before the events of dark souls started to be set into motion
Yes, I know. I guess I'd just like to think that despise all of that he would still be more powerful than the other lords. Just to fully underline how immensly powerful he is
The story is the main reason I play dark souls. It's just so vast and epic, and I like the fact that you actually have to make an effort to follow the storyline. But my favorite part about the whole universe is that so few things are facts. Not all information is given and it forces the player to think and theorize themselves on how things are and how things are connected. When I played and read "a powerful thing indeed" I instantly thought that he still had to be more powerful than the others because why else would they feel the need to say how powerful his soul is?
but yeah. Gwyn is not nearly as powerful as he used to be, but I still think he is stronger than the other lords. His boss fight is harder than BoC, Seath and four kings. I only wish that it was a bit harder. That they could at least remove the possibility to riposte him
basically the way i see it is: dark souls isnt a story, nor a game. its a universe. the characters you meet have their own life's, the places you go have people doing their own things, its alive. its real. and thus i was extremely giddy about the gwyn boss fight being what it was.
it wasnt trying to be a boss fight. it was trying to be part of the universe.
and as i said:you already had parts of gwyns soul from defeating seath and the four kings. technically most of their strength came from those,
also it would actually make more sense for nito to be the strongest one of them..while everybody else has been growing weaker, he has been amassing his own strength.
pinwheel stole the art of kindling. hardly the strongest factor of nitos powerbase still vital.
honestly tho, nito is the most interesting character in dark souls. he basically was the final boss of some other game with its own plot and all that jazz.
How do you know it was only the rite of kindling? The only information we get about it is that pinwheel stole the power of the gravelord. They never specified "the rite of kindling"
Yes, it does fit. But the rite of kindling was also something handed from cleric to cleric. Pinwheel could basically have gotten it from any cleric. Especially Rhea of Thorolund.
no the clerics were possibly sent to the catacombs to try and retrieve the art of kindling(well it was never clearly stated, other than they were sent down there to retrieve something...or was it clearly stated they were after art of rekindling?)
also im not exactly sure if they ever had the rite. since it is nito's property.
heck, the undead curse might actually also be nito's creation. so that would mean everything bonfire related is his creation as well...
'
anyway thats another story there: the point remains: there really isnt much evidence going around that the clerics had the art of kindling before pinking stole it.
Controversary call: i say priscilla is the daughter of seath and velka, since she is kept in a forbidden world full of aspects pointing to her, maybe to protect her child from the other lords who see her as an offense
