Farm baby skeletons in the catacombs, or, if you have the DLC, farm the Humanity Blobs in the Abyss.

farm rats in the depths with CGSR of if you have the AotA content the Humanity sprites in the chasm are the best.

Kill everything a lot. Before you clear a boss for an area you'll get humanity from regular enemies. It won't drop like it does from rats and such, but goes directly into your pool in the top left. I think you can get like 10 humanity before a boss, from just killing anything. If you pay close attention when you kill something, you'll get a blackish aura around your head when you get humanity. And always get your souls back if you die since you drop that humanity along with them.

Also if you leave messages for others and it gets up-voted you gain one humanity IIRC.

******* incredible, ever since I got it I've been somewhat addicted. And I got it for around 20 bucks.
If you get it be sure to kick Lautrec off the shrine. Trust me.

It's for both console and PC, so it depends on your personal preference, although the console versions are known to have issues with a certain zone (Blighttown) that may cause reduced frame rates. I also think that the PvP scene is larger on consoles, however PC is slowly catching up, though if you have a PC good enough to run it, I think that you should get it for that, because of the better frame rates and the mods that improve how the game likes all in all.
If you're buying it, the easiest would be steam.
And do remember to kill Lautrec.

FML I just had like... thirty bucks to blow on random stuff on Steam... I got Fallout Tactics, Fallout 1, and 2 with that money though pretty sweet games if they didn't crash every 20 ****** seconds.

Don't listen.
The PC port is entirely superior to console.

Most PC users are just pompous fops who whine whenever their version isn't a few million development dollars better.
- Dark souls on PC runs (FPS) about equal to a console on a good laptop. (So it should run better than console on any decent gaming desktop.)
-Dark Souls on PC comes with equal resolution textures to console (this is the main point of bitchery from PC gamers). However there is a mod to increase resolution (and other graphical options).
-Dark Souls on PC should be played with a controller, like it was designed. No ****, if you are a PC gamer and don't own a controller, you're an idiot. Most games these days are designed for controllers, and even if they weren't, analogue movement is better than WASD for any game that doesn't require a mouse.

And those three points sum up why Dark Souls is such an awful port. It's only better on PC, not spectacularly better.
(Oh, it also uses Games for Windows Live apparently.)

Dude it is my favorite game of all time. I have played it so much that I'm on new game15+ Maxed my level out at 710 and still love it. It is one of the few games That I claim to be a walking dictionary. Every aspect of it is perfect. It's so satisfying when you beat something you once could not.

Definitely would get it. But a couple things to remember. Have patience DO NOT RUSH, take your time learn every little movement of your enemies, memorize patterns and it can be relatively easy. If you try and try something and can't beat it, go to sleep then try it as soon as you wake up, works every time. And I want bioshock infinite, I'm a huge fan of that series, but it's gonna be weird playing in the air instead of underwater, underwater just made you feel like there is no escape and seems to have a more depressing setting. But alas I'm a poor college student with no funds for it.
