I preferred the first one honestly, there was too much hype over this one for being the same exact thing.

Then with people "Omg its so hard, hardest game ever!" only if you suck and can't memorize enemy attack patterns. you can litterally not get touched, except for the random arrow every so often.

I did like it, don't get me wrong but the community is getting worse but that's probably just the asshole in me saying "I found it first i'm better"

But there's a lot less back stabs this time around! so that's great. But magic seems a bit over powered imo. Hexes are okay since they take forever to shoot off, and dodge.

Also the fanbase for this game can be complete shit at times, posting in places they shouldn't.

Looking forward to the DLC though! and in the hopes that the "Dark souls isn't for cAsuals xD" people leave because its too hard for them.

Sorry for my opinions.

A lot preffered the first and I see it as some sort of "nostalgia" factor. You admitted it yourself too "I did like it, don't get me wrong but the community is getting worse but that's probably just the asshole in me saying "I found it first i'm better" ".
The second game seems easier than the first because you played the first. It's similar, and that's why you're having an easier time. Also, it'd be pretty stupid to expect a whole new game that isn't very similar to the first when it's literally called "Dark souls... 2". Of course it will be much like the first.

Magic is indeed powerful, but it has always been like that. On the contrary though, all spells are pretty much incredibly easy to dodge. The most powerful magic is completely useless in PvP (pretty much..) since it's hard as dicks to hit ANYTHING with it. Also, if you're feel like trying an interesting build, check this out.
MAYHEM (Dark Souls II) AMENO - Magic Immunity

One more thing. The fandom has pretty much always been like that. Praise the sun, this is the hardest game ever yadda yadda yadda. I wouldn't blame dark souls 2 for that, other than it just sparked the hype again.

I know and I've always hated most of the fandom, but like i said i really do enjoy the 2nd, but unlike number 1 the initial wow factor for me dissipated very quickly.

And holy shit that's fricken amazingly unfair but so awesome because everyone exploits the magics too much.

But in regards to the being the same as the first, there was basically nothing different story wise that bugged me. in fact the story seemed a bit too obscure even if From Soft. does like to let the player interpret the story how they see fit there was just run here, killed that thing that i didn't even know existed, looking for an hour and a half for the next route, kill another boss that i know nothing of except the name, so on and so forth.

But i suppose being such a big fan of the first it's hard not to be biased against it. It is growing on me though.

One last thing, there doesn't seem to be any co-op pvp places. like the lost forest in no.1. and that gets to me because the forest was an amazing place to have a great time with friends and strangers, you really can't even do that in the bell towers.

So if there is a place to co-op pvp that i'm missing you should let me know!

You can always find PvPs at iron keep's bridge. It's filled with pvp signs and people that host phantom vs phantom fight arenas.
Join the brotherhood of blood if you want to invade people. You can duel other people at the statues where you join the brotherhood.
You get frequent invasions in bell covenant too.
Invading anywhere pretty much instantly lets you pvp others. At least to my experience.

i suppose that is true, but i dont know how to explain it, the forest was a huge environment, little enemies, and a lot of invasions, whereas the bell towers you cant even put down a sign before getting invaded, even when hollow, so there goes your option of pvping with a friend, which is one reason i like the original so much, you could just sit in the forest with your friend get invaded by phantoms, you don't even get a break in the bell towers.

But i'm just being a whiny bitch, well if you play on xbox : The Sun Warrior, look for me! and i know what the name implies and yes i was one of those "praise the sun faggots" when i first started but i caught on to how annoying that is, but i think its a neat name.

Not sure why you want to be a ganking lil shit though. It's enough that hosts can chug estuses like a madman.
If you want to co-op, put on the co-op ring. Get sin for more invasions I guess? It's more active in new game plus though, because you can actually buy the cracked red eye orbs there.

I play on pc.

not really ganking but gank prevention, bell tower fucks just run away until another one appears and they gank the shit out of you. No one honors duels that ive encountered.

but you just said you don't go there or intend to.
User avatar #201 to #200 - aviators (06/29/2014) [-]
yes, i don't but that's how i first tried pvping before i got sick of getting ganked, so if i had a friend or a stranger, thats gank prevention. but yeah like i said previously i'm also just a little bitch.

But anyways thanks for the conversation.
