How I play Darksouls.

i was scared to fight after i learned how easy he is.

I was terrified when I first saw him but it turns out he was one of the easiest bosses in the game.

There is no "correct" way to use "Leeroy Jenkins" damnit, what on earth are you talking about? And should you insist that there is, the guy is essentially doing what you just described. He runs in and gets himself killed. Since there is no other people, hes essentially getting everyone killed.

took me three months to beat the whole game killing every boss even the ones that you didn't need to kill

then again, my strategy and stats were a really good match for them.

SL 230 and a new one at SL 55 helping my friend who is new to the game.

Many people still play but they usually stick to the lower levels (1-120)

I want to make it to max level, I can already cast every spell/miracle/pyromancy, I have every weapon and all the armor sets and all the rings and ONLY NOW has the game started for me.

alot of people like to specialize because they stick to lower levels but in the upper levels you got a bunch of Chimera classes coming at you. Nice armor with a huge weapon throwing 2 kinds of magic and moving like a rouge without using rings or masks to buff weight limit because thats just how fucking powerful they are.

THAT is what I play dark souls for.

Multiplayer is great, I'm currently at the optimal level/place to do it, and it can get pretty tense.

Lots of people still play, but how often you'll fight players will be dependent on multiple things, including your level, where you are, where you live, and how good your connection is.

the coop works by you using someones summon sign while in human form to summon them to help you with the area boss, the pvp works by you invading someone in human form through the use of certain items and trying to kill them before they can challenge the area boss.

Dark souls is probably the hardest game I've played on Xbox, i find that with the right technique you can easily make Dark Souls friends in which will help you own bitches or kill the boss's that make you want to kill the next living thing you see, i simply love multiplayer its awesome and fun i recommend it

Is there a limit on Co-op partners?

I believe the max you can have is 2 other people with you.

I'm not very certain, I've only ever summoned one person when co-oping.

More or less, it is always multiplayer. For the most part the only noticeable things are the messages left by others. However, once you restore your humanity, invasions are you absolute worst enemy. Nothing like being a starter character and having someone come into you world and ass-rape you with a dull spoon.

I heard the game was hard on its own... but that seems a little extreme...

extreme...but true. my advice, absolutely play this game, but for precautionary methods, just shove an entire tube of anal lube up your ass every time before playing.

Yeah I own it. It's pretty damn good but it came out a year ago so whats with all the posts? I haven't seen any skyrim posts and it's been a year. I do like the game though.

Need a master key to go in through the burg. Once you get to Darkroot Basin you still shouldn't enter the tower you see...just trust me.

he's not actually a boss, he's a mini boss, has a chance of dropping a funny helm
there are two easy tactics that I use, when you get from the bonfire you get to a stairway with a hollow soldier at the top, at the side of the stairs (opposing the tower) you can hit the boar while it cannot hit you (with the exception of one hit), plus you can cast spells/fire arrows at it, doing so from behind does extra damage since it lacks armour there.

ah, well you know the building with the two spear hollows on them in the undead burg? the crates conceal a stairway, you'll recognize the merchant immediately since he's sitting on the ground and is making no attempt whatsoever to engage you in combat.

The PC port has some issues, such as having a locked resolution and terrible control scheming (prompts for various commands still show buttons from the xbox 360 controller, despite having a keyboard and mouse), so if you don't want to deal with that then you probably want to get it for the xbox.

But you can still get a gamepad for the PC, and there are fixes available for the resolution issue. The PC version is what I use, and I prefer having the options that come with it. The PC version even comes with the DLC, artorias the abysswalker.

I personally still use a mouse and keyboard, despite the prompts for the commands being fucked. I just had to teach myself to match various keys with certain buttons (like pressing the Q key when it says to press the A button).

The keyboard and mouse aren't actually that bad once you get used to what does what, in fact I think I prefer them over a controller.

They feel kind of awkward to me, and the fact that I can see my cursor in game is annoying.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the cursor, I just kind of learned to ignore it.

That's just my preference, you should definitely get a controller if you think you'd prefer that (and if you don't want to deal with the headaches that come with the keyboard and mouse).

Yeah I just ordered one off Amazon for about $10, it's a custom one, but it should work fine on PC if I have the driver
