This might be the place to help me, then. Recently while playing Dark Souls, not knowing exactly what I was doing, but I made it to Seathe. And he repeatedly thrashed me over and over, and though I was determined to beat him, my Xbox decided to format my harddrive and I lost everything. I still want to beat it, though.

Can anyone give me a detailed guide on what to do in terms of weapons, armor and direction that could help me beat the game and get start on PvP? (which I never got to experience.)

Thanks!

Also in terms of PVP which I'm still not good enough for, I have a theory if I get high enough endurance, and use Havel's ring to have a medium roll with a super heavy armor set, that would work well with whatever weapon you're most comfortable with, and can use fluently, like I know gravelord and target shield isn't the best, but I'm so familiar with it I can do decently

Personally i prefer a high int build with the moonlight great sword and the channeler's trident.
also i wear a big hat +5 for looks and sage robe, havel's gauntlets, and leggings for poise.
Works great for PvE and PvP

I prefer a pyromancer/warrior hyrbid class.
Because you can level up as a pyromancer simply by upgrading your flame.
I consider it to be the ideal class hybrid; Due to the fact that you don't have to spend a ridiculous amount of souls on leveling up the stats relating to two different classes.

I prefer the dark wood grain ring and havel's ring because that combination allows me to ninja flip away when bosses attack me, get behind them and ram a bigass dark knight sword up their asses.

And of course i keep the pyromancer starter outfit, because it simply looks too awesome to replace.

STR-Faith build. Darkmoon Covenant. Abyss Greatsword and Falchion in R-hand. Velka Talisman and G.Crest Shield in left. Havels Ring and Wolf Ring.

Use the Armor of Artorias, with Havels Gauntlets and the Dark Mask and Dark Legs. Hunting down sinners with extreme prejudice. Whoo.
Darkmoon Blade + Falchion is OP. Abyss Greatsword is there as a backup when (If. Invasions dont last long for this build, either one of us die fast) the buff runs out. I keep TWOP and Force miracles with me, TWOP incase I feel like being extra mean.

I usually throw on some light armor and zwiehand EVRYTHING. Get that up to +10, fire-ize it, then get that up to +5. Destroy everything.
All points into str, vit, and end.(and maybe just a little in dex) ignore everything else.

chaoshander giantdad makes the game a ******* breeze, but i like to challenge myself, so I would have to say high dex-builds (using great scythe or uchi) are my favorites

Best build in game (imo) is the lolstompGiantdadsunbro.
Full giants except for dad mask, +5 divine gargoyle halberd, sunbro shield of super deflection, and all the lightning bolts in the world, 50 faith for gwyn op lightning, enough attunemnt slots for wrath of the gods and the the 3 lightning miracles. Pour souls into vit or stamina after 50 faith. ng+++++++ while you laugh at being able to stunlock smough.

I use a 45 Dex build, w/ 20 str, 3 att slots, some int and faith for heal and chameleon, and the rest in vit or end. I cap it at 120

I use a composite bow, with a tracer on backup, 2 toxin mists, and a poison mist, with a pyro hand in my second off hand with a target shield for blocking. Poison & Large arrows, some dung pies and whatever else in my hotbar.

My strategy is based around inflicting both status effects poison & toxin, and using the oppertunities created. The tracer can actually be used effectively without crits, but that doesn't mean I don't use them. The bow & tracer make a great combo for baiting BS's.

My most complex variation is the gold tracer, and priscilla's dagger in the offhands. I can use them to effecrively bleed out low res enemies like dragonbros. Combined with parries, bs's, status effects, and arrows. It's a deadly PVP build, and only a few things are really needed for it to be effective in PVE

Dex with +15 Naginata and Eastern Armor. Two hand the naginata with a shield on my back (the one that increases stamina regen)

I plan on trying out a build to use Artorias' Greatsword as effectively as possible. It requires such a balanced build I imagine I could use almost anything with decent power, so I'm looking forward to that.
