Dark Souls progression update... fuck!
Newbie Scrublord Master 5000 reporting back to base...
Some of you might have seen my old post about stating on Dark Souls for the first time.
I just wanted to thank you all for some of the advice I got and give you all an update. I know, I know, who gives a **** .
So I am currently meandering about in Anor Londo. ****** ****** yo. I mean, really, those god damn Silver Knights and their bows. I want to tear out their guts and feed it to those piece of **** Catbear creatures in Darkroot.
I've managed to get to the big fog wall, where you can also open the big gate, with the two giant guards outside and 2 elite guards inside.
I'm a bit of a completionist, so I spend a lot of time collecting every loot I find. Which is a good thing too, as far as I understood... atleast untill you run into a mimic. I swear my sphincter could compress coal into diamonds the first time one of the snatched me. You gotta give those lanky ******* credit for their perfectly executed flying kick though. Even Liu Kang would be like "Dayum son!"
Aaaaanyway... I had quite some issues with Queelag. I have been using a Fire Claymore for most of the game so far, pretty much since I ran into Andre. But god damn, Queelag didn't give two ***** about it. **** me right? No! **** her! Because, for ***** and gigs, I tried fighting her with the scythe. Turned that fight into a backpedaling showdown, but I reaped her soul good.
At this moment in game, I am using the following:
ARMOR
Black Iron Armor+1, Black Iron Leggings+1, Wander Manchette+9 and Gold Hemmed Black Hood.
(I use this very specific setup to make sure my equipment load, is less than half of my max weight, so I at least stay sort of mobile)
WEAPONS
Fire Claymore+3 and Crystal Halberd
Grass Crest Shield+3 and Eagle Shield (Got damn, the fact it makes Silver Knights stagger, when they hit it, makes it all worth it)
MISC
Havels Ring and Ring of Steel Protection
I got through Sens Fortress rather easily, out of pure luck I think. It seemed really confusing at first, but since I tripped down on a wooden platform, I quickly found the way to go. I got ****** a few times by the swinging blades crossings, but it wasn't all too bad.
But Blighttown... If it wasn't for the fact that it is already a huge pile of **** , I would have taken a **** on it. **** the poison, **** the sludge, **** the toxin, **** the fire dogs, **** the mosquitos, **** the brutes, **** the layout, **** the framerate, **** the lighting, **** the atmosphere... and last, but not least... **** . Me.
I spend an ETERNITY in the ******* hole! I can't count how many times I feel down because of some ******** . I distinctly remember one place, where I could see through a hole in the floor, some planks below, so I figured that was the way to go. Nope. Dead.
The **** icing on top of the **** cake was of course the blow dart ******* . I didn't get any toxin cures down there at all, except at the very end when I had already killed all of them. I came in through the backdoor (fitting, for such a filthy place), so I didn't run into any of the normal melee troglodytes (or whatever the **** they are) untill I had run through it all.
So yea, that's my adventures so far. I did rek both Moon Moon and Mothra pretty easily when I went into the forest though, so that's something.
Anyway, thanks again for the advice. I am thoroughly enjoying myself!
TL;DR I have progressed in Dark Souls. My ass hurts.
