You're going to get a lot of hate, and so am i, but dark souls 2 should of never made it to the shelves. They have horrible net code issues, you are guaranteed for there to be some level of clear, unfair, and horrible phantom range and lag. The netcode alone should of made them go "oh **** guys our multiplayer, literally half of our game, is ******* un playable, let's fix that before releasing it". And the no clipping some, let me repeat, SOME enemy's have, is the worst. The fact that only some have it, means they could of ******* fixed it, but no, instead of making a well designed enemy, they made it have the ability to clip through **** , all so it could be "hard". That's not hard, it's un fair, and they know it. And the broken as **** weapons, honestly, everyone's always, ******* always, using like three types of weapons or armor. Sure, they worked on it, but they never FIXED it. And the built in broken hit boxes, mixed with the lag online, oh lawdy may god have mercy on this games pvp. And it's just, well ******* ugly in some areas, not gonna lie, the textures in many places look stretched and hastily slapped on. As if they just click and dragged it on the object. Oh and the cheap deaths, in dark souls one, if you were aware of your surroundings you could spot traps. But in DS2 there's no hope, some traps are GOING to kill you. No matter what, unless you look up a walkthrough, there's no way to tell with many of the traps that they are indeed, traps. That means no matter how gud you git, you're going to die. The players meant to be rewarded for playing it safe, and being skillful. Yet no, i die just like jimmy mc **** head drinking estus all day erre day. There's so much wrong with DS2, it should of never made it to the ******* shelves.

Does no one remember post lord vessel Dark Souls? It was abysmal, the second half of the game is worse than any point in DS2. Remember Lost Izalith? Crystal Cave? That completely dead arena? All that has been said is valid for both games, yet both are great games. Can we stop it with the DS2 hate?
The net code is an on-and-off type of thing. Some matches work flawlessly, and much of it depends on your connection as well as your opponent's connection. These problems exist in literally every peer-to-peer online game, though.
Can you give examples to some of the other problems? Traps that have no tells, janky enemies, etc.

Nah. Him, no issues. The ****** he respawns as when you go back?
Took me twenty+ deaths. AFTER I figured him out. Once I knew his routine, he started doing this thing where his "magic explosion" would hit me, no matter what. Couldn't block it. Couldn't dodge it. Couldn't hide behind anything. **** him.

No, see, I tried that first. It still hit me. I did plenty of juke and shank, and it always hit me. Once it stopped hitting me where ever I went, it was a breeze.
I suppose the horrible hitboxes and the fact that it didn't work on many computers and graphics cards, and crashed like a bitch, and required a third party work around and a controller to even have a chance at functioning properly is just another "one bad flaw."
That game was a disaster. Made popular by convincing retards that trial and error was "hard and engaging gameplay."

You obviously don't know what you're talking about

Because it's so much easier to play the game for 4 hours going at a snails pace, than to just run it find out which traps insta are where, which insta kill, avoid them, and repeat. The former takes 4 hours, the latter takes 2 hours. You can't see or notice 75% of traps so you might as well just find them sooner rather than later.
?
Traps are made fairly obvious if you look around more than .5 seconds and there's like one area where they actually get dangerous

It was a bad PC port. Absolutely.
The hitboxes aren't as big a deal in the first game. In 2? Horrendous.
It doesn't need to be entirely trial and error if you're as slow and cautious as the game encourages you to be. It's not that hard of a series. There are much harder games. I certainly agree that people riding that **** is dumb, but it's difficulty is used in intelligent ways.
If you want to write me off as a fanboy, you're probably right, but I see the flaws. I'm super aware of them. Probably even more than you're aware of, but there's a lot of reasons to love the games. It's a pros vs cons thing, just like anything else.
Can't defend the PC port, though. You have a lot of reason to hate it based on that. It's a shame, too, because it can be pretty amazing otherwise.
