I meant more an example of the hitbox issues.
Nothing in that fight seemed glaringly wrong.
The problem is confusing DaS2's rolling mechanics with bad hitboxes.
The grab hitboxes are genuinely terrible, but some of the "hitboxes" are just the player getting hit where they were standing before rolling.
I understand calling dark souls 1 ''DaS'' but there was no demons souls 2 so I never liked people calling dark souls 2 ''DaS2'' how would you confuse ''DS2'' with demons souls in any way, Dark Souls 2, DS2, not like its Dark Asshole Souls 2 featuring penetrator knight
16:21? If so that's because the player probably has no iFrames due to equip load being high and no adaptability. With 30-adaptability in I believe lower than 25% equip load you'll never get hit mid roll.
Trust me try out a dex build with adaptability. Just get like 20ish dex, rush 40 adapt. Don't even bother with health at all or armor. Keep below 25% load. Get a 90-95%ish physical block shied if you really need to and you can just roll through the game. You can get whatever stats you want after that adapt... Preferably 30 of whichever one gives stamina. Haven't played since about a week after the "new" version of darksouls 2 came out so not really remembering the stat names.
Trust me, I'd like to have Dank Bowls 2: Squalor of the Last Mint, but I've got no shekels.
A dex build I'm sure could dance around this boss like a ballerina on Speed, but when it comes to the best builds Strength Builds, much less of tanking the hits, those hitboxes are ****** .
Heh you can go adaptability with Str weapons if you want. Feels great to run with just rags and a greatsword just murdering everything like a barbarian. Eh you do you just know with heavy armor and no ADP the hitboxes will be a major PITA,
so are there any particular mods for dark souls 2 that make it better? cause i played it without and thought it was a good game. but im looking for more while i wait for dark souls 3
I suppose the horrible hitboxes and the fact that it didn't work on many computers and graphics cards, and crashed like a bitch, and required a third party work around and a controller to even have a chance at functioning properly is just another "one bad flaw."
That game was a disaster. Made popular by convincing retards that trial and error was "hard and engaging gameplay."
The hitboxes aren't as big a deal in the first game. In 2? Horrendous.
It doesn't need to be entirely trial and error if you're as slow and cautious as the game encourages you to be. It's not that hard of a series. There are much harder games. I certainly agree that people riding that **** is dumb, but it's difficulty is used in intelligent ways.
If you want to write me off as a fanboy, you're probably right, but I see the flaws. I'm super aware of them. Probably even more than you're aware of, but there's a lot of reasons to love the games. It's a pros vs cons thing, just like anything else.
Can't defend the PC port, though. You have a lot of reason to hate it based on that. It's a shame, too, because it can be pretty amazing otherwise.
