This is the best thing i ever did in a COD game, was playing with friends, one of them was a hardcore 360 noscoper fanatic who was raging at me killing him with an LMG "i swear if Harbinger kills me one more time im leaving", then this happened.

Except the US has, for the most part, preserved more old English mannerisms than England has. English people from the 1700s would have spoken a lot more like someone from the south Atlantic US than the way they speak now. England changed their speech and grammar during the 1800s when southern English nobility adopted the more modern English accent and mannerisms. The resulting accent and vocabulary was taught in schools and became what is now the English accent.

English is the Bastard child of an orgy between Romantic and Germanic languages, There's nothing there to butcher. English people butchered English long before anyone else did. Just because they meant to make it into an incoherent pile of nonsensical **** doesn't make it any less of an incoherent pile of nonsensical **** .

And who gives a **** if Americans decided to take the superfluous 'u' out of words like 'humor' and 'color'. The ******* English are the ones who put the 'u' in there in the first place! Both 'humor' and 'color' (and most similar words) are derived from Old French and, in turn, Latin. The Latin words are: 'colos' and 'humor'. Notice how there aren't any 'u's?
The answer to the question: "Why did you take the U out of these words?" is simple: Why were they there in the first place? It's like asking someone "Why did you extinguish the fire I set in the breakroom? I wanted to burn the building down!"

I don't know why you're getting all the hate. The dialect in that video is comparable to backwoods Alabama speak. Both are indecipherable and are very hard to understand. I've met a Scottish relative of mine when I was younger and he spoke very well. Not all speak like they've had their tongues pulled out.

Sure. Two issues with translation: one the girl stutters a lot and says things that don't make sense anyway, I'm guessing because she's nervous and on TV, and second issue is they overlap while speaking a lot.

M = male, F = female.

Well I've lived in Glasgow, and currently in Stirling. I don't wish I was a weegie but I'm fairly certain that's a Fife accent. To be fair they're pretty similar. They aren't similar. Fife accent sounds nothing like a glaswegian. The accent in this video is typical of areas like deniston, Rutherglen, Arden and such, Stirling has a broader accent, while they may use similar terminology, the accent is very different. And the best thing is you can tell she is trying soften her accent by the words she is saying to seem more proper. But the guy is the best example for what little he says.

Nah not Aberdonian. My family and myself are from there, they sound more... softer of an accent.
There's a term actually for Scots with that strong and accent even Scots don't understand them. Rhotic? I can't remember exactly.
We have a family friend like that, makes me chuckle when my Gran looks at me really puzzled cos she's not understood a word he's said.
