**** stings if you're American*

40% is pretty tame... Try some 96% homebrew from Norway, then you can talk about **** that stings

How can I get that to America?

Right. Not like America created moonshine and Everclear or anything

Moonshine originated during Scotland's prohibition, which was way different. Instead of alcohol being illegal, distilleries were just taxed out the ass making it not viable to produce alcohol, though some still did it legally. It's called moonshine because they did it at night to conceal the large amounts of smoke that came off of distillation

What the hell were you doing that you found a thread nearly a month old to comment on?!

Moonshine is from the UK but whatever.

Not saying there aren't americans who know how to keep their liquor down, or that you guys make weak liquor for that matter. I'm just saying that with how easily irritated their palates are, 40% would sting. Americans in general can't eat liquorice. Like, they can't keep it in their mouth because it is so strong, yet scandinavian people chow it down like it's a ******* big mac. Everything in the states is so much sweeter than European stuff, that it's almost mental to consider how you guys even deal with it. I've had American versions of the candy I like, and I almost can't keep it down because it's so sweet.

We're different. Whatever.

Oh and btw, if you think Americans invented moonshine, you're plain wrong... Moonshine is home distillery, which has been done for eons before America was even "discovered".

its not the strength of liquorice that Americans don't like its the taste. most people younger than 50 hate the taste of anise.

Also skyy vodka is extremely smooth. Ergo, that kid is a pussy.

I'm sure American moonshine is different from European local shine. And I agree that a lot of American **** is too sweet. If I ate like most of my friends and coworkers, I'd have a constant stomachache. Regardless, America drinks a ******* of liquor. One 15 year old is not representative of the country.

Not saying that one 15 year old is representative of any nation whatsoever. I'm sorry if I offended you with a bit of pointless banter there m80.

My first comment was meant as my own banter back at you. It seemed like you turned all serious after that. I dunno, this site is fickle and silly. Cheers to whatever you're drinking, my man.

Eh, it's my fault. I can't read into sarcasm or anything like that I'm afraid. Socially retarded for the win I guess. Cheers! Not drinking since I have work in 4 hours, but usually it's beer, red wine, rum or liquorice vodka.

It's cool, we're all socially retarded to some degree or another here, it's a requirement for FJ.

The bipolar people thumbing up our comments makes that statement ring even more true.
