Skyrim - Wild nature; animals; people and mythical creatures as enemies; open world
Far Cry 3 - Wild nature; animals; people as enemies; open world
Fallout 3 - Demolished Washington; mutants; people and mutants as enemies; NOT THAT open world
So stop the crap. Skyrim is much much more similar to Far Cry 3 than Fallout 3.
Yes, Fallout 3 and Skyrim have similarities too (like armor system), but these aren't mayor similarities.

If Skyrim and Fallout 3 SEEMS similar DO YOU then why would a Bethesda bother doing do similar games in different names in your opinion? (if they look similar to you)
I didn't knew these 2 were made by the same company.. But it is good that they were, because that means they ARE different games because gaming companies don't usually do similar games. (unless it is a sequel)
And answer to your question.. Yes, it is similarity, but not the similarity we were talking about (looks, place, other in-game things).

Your reasoning is competely wrong hence, i cannot agree with you.
Skyrim and Fallout have tremendous similarities reagarding game and level design. Quests, dungeons, the way npcs interact with the player and conversational choices. In fact the only thing missing in Skyrim is the VATS system and well, firearms.
Allow me also to disagree with the fact that the same game studio cannot create two diferent IPs based on the same game design.
Have you ever heard about Bayonetta, Vanquish, Mad World and the upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance? Guess what? Absolute carbon copies regarding game design (not stylistically though) and gameplay, and are made by the same studio, Platinum Games (pic related).
Do you want another example? iD software, created Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein.
So, YOU stop the crap saying that Far Cry 3 is Skyrim with guns, because tbh it is much more similar to Fallout 3

So the similarities are only Quests, dungeons, NPCs interact with player and software that were used making this game? I can even list more things about looks and in-game.
So.. By your story I can assume that for you Runescape is similar to Fallout3 / Skyrim too. It has quests, dungeons and NPC's interact is pretty same. Only the difference is it wasn't made by the same company. Since you don't give a fuck about in-game looks and life, then by your logic Skyrim is updated Runescape and Fallout is sci-fi version of Runescape.

So, you just completely disregarded everything i said and started talking about runescape, wich is, by the way, a MMORPG. You might not have noticed, but every single game i pointed above are, well, single player experiences.
I tried to make some sense. You, not really.
Here, have this (pic related).

Same did you?
The meaning about "Skyrim with guns" is about the in-game looks and feel. Both have wild nature. Both have wild animals. Both have enemies (people and animals). Both are open world and I can count mote.. These are WHAT YOU SEE and WHAT YOU FEEL. These are the most important pieces of game.
Quest system and NPC interact is just something, which gives more to the game. So are the dungeons. But these aren't the major things.. I have never heard someone who buys a game because of some NPC interface or some quest system..
But I guess you are some butthurt Bethesda Game Studios fanboy who fails to see that (like JB fans). Take some 'fukitol', sit back, relax and play!

Oh, so you are talking about IN-GAME looks and feel. So let's compare Skyrim and Far Cry 3. Skyrim, set in a medieval fantasy world. Far Cry 3 set in a modern day Tropical Island. The gunplay (hence gameplay) in Far Cry 3 is much more action oriented (and honestly far less clunky than in any Bethesda game).
Jeez and the JB references and calling others butthurt fans, man, that really hurt my feelings.
jk.

Bethesda were, at first, allowed to make three Fallout games (which would be Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4). They then bought the entire franchise, so they are definitely going to make 3, but it's likely that they'll make even more.
