Ive been collecting for a few years now, I have about 300-400 LPs and about 200 45's, along with a boatload of various music memorabilia. None of this was inherited by my parents, BTW. All my own finds.

I have another copy I use, that copy is in mint so I put it aside.

I started a record collection, we recently uncovered my mom's old record collection and she has 259 records, it was glorious, I only took about ten though

All of those were basically my moms, it was kind of awesome. I bought a few at tag sales, they're dirt cheap. I'm in to the collection for about 2 dollars, including the record player which I literally plugged in to the wall and it worked.
All of my old electronics were pilfered from work, as well.

I wish I was only 2 dollars into mine... I've got 20 records, most were 20 a piece, but some were 40. I'm into my collection for about 400-450 dollars.

I'm about 40 dollars into mine, I bought 2 records which were 20 dollars each, mint condition and you can't find inexpensive records around here, I'm going to start ordering them off of the internet, and my mom got me a record player for christmas, one of those portable ones, but hey, it works!

Found mine in my grandma's attic, and she let me take it just like that. I found the best of Rolling Stones for like a dollar at tag sale, and the one Van Halen album I have was opened once before I bought it, and I got it for a quarter.
I'm kind of interested in finding some newer albums on vinyl as well, just to have a decent mix.

Go to tagsales, good ones will have stacks of them in crates and you can just pick through for the good ones, and they'll all go cheap. You could probably get an even better deal if you just bought the whole rack and picked through later

I try to keep an eye our for garage sales, but I haven't had any luck yet, the store I go to is like a vintage antiques shop, but they're like 20 dollars so after a while it isn't worth it any more

Yeah, I don't have anything nice like that around here, so it's all sourced from old people or yardsales, really. I'd be more interested in picking up old cars as opposed to records, but that's a bit more expensive

Yeah, it's actually pretty solid. And it sounds mean. Cut the mufflers off (They were full of mouse house anyways) And now it's loud enough to hurt your ears after a few minutes, haha. That's only temporary, I've got a lot of work to do before I worry about exhaust though.

I'd been looking for any classic I could get for years. Spending a few grand on a car of some sort just to have. I overlooked this truck because I thought it was beyond repair, but I decided to go for it for shits and giggles last weekend and it started up with nothing more than a new battery and some gas. Took no effort, it was stellar.

That's great, since I don't have the room I'd want a restored/semi restored one, and the cheapest one I found in my area was 10 grand, and I don't have that kind of money, and probably won't for a while hahaa

Man, I don't know where you're from, but that sucks O.o I'm in new england, so cars rust fast here and are more expensive when they get old because of it, but I could find an old beater car or truck from the 60s-70s for under 3 grand that was roadworthy

Daaaaaaaamn, I thought you'd be much better off because it's down south, that's where I was looking all the time. Craigslist can be your best friend there, old 4 door slant six Dodge Darts and stuff can be had for pennies, nobody wants them because there's nothing special about them, but they still look nice

Plus, I've been told that with an old 6 cylinder car like that, you can get 25-30 mpg. No power of course, but for driving around town, it will still look cool
