Well no because that was between the U.S. and Britain.
Canada "became" a different country in 1867 or 1982 depending on which way you look at it. Using that logic you could say America won the French-Indian war.
In any case, in the War of 1812 neither side directly gained anything from the war, thus no one won.

It was also Irish mercenaries stationed in Canada who burned down the White House, not Canadians themselves, though it's still fun to gloat.
