Wrong. They are calling it season 5...but in regular production it would be a season 6, as it technically is. It wasn't a few month hiatus, it is nearly an entire year, the normal amount of time between a season and the next.

And yet it is season 6. If the producers had attempted to call it season 6, a new budget would have needed to be drawn up and the show runners would not have settled for it despite the high ratings. For all intensive purposes as the writers have said, it is season 6 masquerading as season 5 B.
