Here's a little bit from VanHeist's notes for some extra info on that last comic:

"Bomango" has existed, mostly within this gallery, for a few years now, and in that time has gone through a few evolutions. I've gone through a lot of mini-stories, jokes, and one-shots, and the comic's even managed to get a modest following (for which I'm very thankful).

But what's bugged me for a long time is that, without a solid narrative, it all feels like so much fooling around. Since the beginning I've had a story in mind with these characters, but the appeal of shorts and character sketches (and other work) has sort of kept me distracted from making the necessary push towards a genuine series. There's much more mayhem, character growth, and things to do and see along that road.

And that's partially why I've been tinkering with this piece. It's less of a stand-alone strip and more of a plot-seeding teaser to help a bit with setting the stage.

Gogo's led a combative life and, it might be noted, has a "complicated" relationship with her mother (i.e. "murderous, adversarial"). Her uniqueness has also made her rather guarded and often hostile towards those who see her as a threat or an opportunity, but in Andy she has found a good-hearted, altruistic young boy with no grand scheme who is both admiring and amusingly patronizing.

Andy, however, is not content to simply be a "pet" and will not suffer being deceived or coddled (at least not coddled too much). He feels as much responsibility over Gogo as he does infatuation, equal to Gogo's sense of protectiveness over him, as well as a sense of admiration that occasionally boils over into jealousy. Gogo IS a kind of power, after all, and power inevitably corrupts ;)

So yeah. Kind of a serious, ominous comic, but there ya go.

Alrighty, guys, this is where stuff starts to get serious!

As seen above, these comics kinda mark the point that VanHeist (the author) decided to develop the story he had always kind of had in mind but never shared . . . until now. After this we'll still certainly have random/just for fun comics, but there's also going to be story and character development, too.

As a certain someone accurately guessed, and the last comic hints at, Gogo is going to start training Andy. We'll kinda go through that story in my next (rather long post). Also we'll see the return of colorized comics. Stay tuned, folks!

Also, poor Hector, eh? Dude got friendzoned before he even met the girl. He continues to bust the curve when it comes to having ill luck with the ladies.
