i hope not :p that would suck if it was permanent. it seems like they were hinting at amon having a blood trait like how tarlock did to explain his power, hopefully its just a lesser form of what sang could use .

i have a theory about this:
When Aang was doing it something was talking in the background and said something about the spirit of the person doing the energybending has to be stronger then the person being bent, or else the the bender will be consumed.

So i think it was a crazy sight when Aang did it to Ozai because both of them has strong spirits, but in the end Aang won out.
