I suppose if you fight against it.
My question is- your blood has been seized. Therefore it's not flowing. Will a person go into cardiac arrest if bloodbent for too long?

I'm pretty sure Blood Bending would be roughly similar to choking to death in a pool of mercury, but much faster

It's weighing down on you, it's heavy, and you're suffocating.
As long as you have oxygen, you can survive for a while. But even when choking, there's a tiny bit circulating. Blood bending stops all circulation, so you're kinda fucked.

On top of that, your veins and arteries are being tugged hard enough to move your body. That shit hurts.

Here's a .gif to ease the pain you feel in your mind right now.

Yeah. It would hurt a dickload. Imagine the veins in your body being pulled so hard that it moves your muscles too.

So many people here think blood bending has anything to do with blood.

It has nothing at all to do with blood. It is just bending the water inside of someones body.

No it is not. No one actually saw the episode with Hama?

She said that all life forms contain a large amount of water, which would mean it would be possible for a water bender to control them.

There is far more water in a human body then blood. It makes no sense to try to control their blood when you can directly control the water.

Hama throughout the entire episode was pointing out how there was water in multiple things, from plants to air. That was to lead up to "bloodbending."
