I have seen a few of these. They differ in both imagination and quality, some are definately better than others.

the animation on that is so smooth, you can see he put much more time in to it than I did (doing mine took 2 days, but that's mainly because I'm still pretty bad with flash)

also, he probably did it with pivot are something similar because attack/piece of terrain is made with lines

Then place them the way you want in every frame. I find it easier than adobe flash studio or whatever.

One day I decided I wanted to make an animation, so I just pulled up Keynote on my school laptop and started doing stick drawings. Then I just ported them into iMovie and made a slideshow with the slides set at .1 seconds. It looked better than it sounds.
