Maybe the child of an avatar could be any kind of bender, so maybe Korra's kids could also be airbenders

yeah, that's why he has one non-bender, an air-bender and a water-bender kid
you poopiehead

I never understood why the 4 races were so divided, if they lived for so long, and benders come from bender parent(s), how come you can't find a waterbender or two in the earthkingdom or some **** ?

at first I thought it was a culture thing, like water benders live near and ON water, so they had some natural affinity to it or something

So basically, in the first avatar series, the nations were divided. They have been divided since probably the beginning of time. Similar to how back in the 1400's-1600's (even before then) Countrymen and women didn't marry with people of other nations so to keep their 'blood' clean (i guess). So, in avatar, the air nomads only married air nomads, water to water, etc. etc.
But Aang wanted a different life for people. He wanted the four nations to come together. He created Republic City as a meeting ground for all the benders and nonbenders to be at peace together. Republic City was the symbol of peace in this new era that Aang created.

Now, in the case of Aang's kids, Katara was a water bender, Aang an airbender. I thought about this and came to the conclusion that the Avatar's abilities to control all elements does not get passed on to the next generation. Only the original bending ability of the parent will be passed down. Therefore, Katara and Aang had a water bender and an airbender. Now, on the case of Boomy, there's a catch. This leads me to believe that the bending gene is actually a Dominant gene where as the nonbending gene is Recessive. How it decides what type of bender the child is, is kind of confusing for me so I haven't really been able to come up with a sound theory.

So in the case of Korra's kids being air benders, that's a no. Sorry. The avatar's powers are not able to be passed down. Only the original bending ability can be.

I know Kora seems a bit boyish, but I don't think that she could bone anyone...

waterboners are still boners

I am sorry, but you first suggested a female character would "bone" and male character in the effort of procreation. Then after I hinted at the flaw in that you implied she could use the waterbender equivalent of a strap on, unless I misunderstood you. Forgive me for assuming you have a fairly low level of experience in these matters...

Ambiguous wording is the cause of 99% of internet arguments. It is kinda poorly explained though, the avatar-reproduction-element-affinity thing, and Aang's kids don't clear up **** unfortunately. If he had a fire or earthbender it would answer nicely but alas, not the case.
