It makes me sad to think Aang didn't love his kids equally, this scene was a really good one though.

bullcrap, Aang would never be like that. Bumi probably self-imposed that idea on himself because he's so self-conscious about not being like his father.

Well in the episodes Kya and Bumi both talk about how they felt neglected by Aang and how Tenzin was the one who got to go on all the vacations with him and stuff. If the kids themselves say they felt neglected how can you say they were wrong?

It'll probably explain it more throughout the season. It's just way too out of character for Aang.

I can see Aang doing it. Alot of his morals came from his culture, so I could see that bleeding into his parenting. Its not like he didn't love Bumi and Kya, but he loved Tenzin in a way that lead to the others being neglected, since he probably assumed only Tenzin could learn from the Air nomad culture, and not the others. That doesn't explain them leaving them out of Ember or Kyoshi Island vacations though.

That's what I hope for too, but I can see him getting really into preserving the Airbender legacy/traditions and **** through Tenzin and its justified that he would show more attention to him, even if it makes him sound like kind of an ass, he was doing the right thing I guess
