There's only the international space station that still has American astronauts on it, and they keep journeying to space. They don't go to the moon because it costs close to a billion dollars, when they can send rovers and probes that can do the same job for far cheaper and they can stay on the moon for YEARS rather than just a few days.
The Mir station only lasted 10 years because the Russian foolishly placed it in the same orbit as satellites, which it later collided with. The INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION was a collaboration between the US, Canada, Europe, Russian and Japanese space agencies, and mostly funded by the US and mostly designed by the US. The US is also the only other country that always astronauts from different countries to stay in their part of the space station.
But as they already said there are far more reasons why Europe is corrupt. And don't give me this shit about oil. The Falklands of '82 and not to mention the main reason the European countries INVADED AND COLONIZED most of the world for CENTURIES was because they wanted resources, you fucking hypocrites
