Please provide proof to your claim... I'd actually like it to be fake because (for me at least) the story doesn't really feel right... I'd expect Toph to find someone equally awesome as her and not just some average dude she meets while traveling with the avatar since then it would've just happened in the series... Then again she was drugged...
