Oh yeah you are right. I am still sad that they only left Katara and Zuko unless I am forgetting someone, but I really want to see how Zuko will play a role in this new series.

I don't remember where I heard it, but Zuko is alive and he is supposed to be in one of the Legend of Korra episodes

I think Zuko's voice actor is in LoK as a different character, not Zuko himself.

Nope, it was confirmed in the "Welcome to Republic City" thing on Nick.com that Zuko is indeed alive. He passed the reins of Fire Lord on to his daughter and is now travelling the world doing generally badass shit.
