To be honest, so far it hasn't been as appealing as the old series for me.

I LOVED the old series. I sure hope they touch a bit more on bloodbending this time round. Katara was awesome... Azula, crazy bitch but entertaining to see. So far no character seems as interesting...

Seeing there is an advanced form of bending for Earth (metal bending), Fire (Lightning) and Water (blood bending). Kinda makes me wonder what Air could do :\

Hopefully things change after a few more episodes.

I personally prefer the old series because Aang had to go through so many exhaustion trials just so he can master all four elements in order to stop an insane Warlord from taking over the world.

Korra already knows Three out of four and the most she has to deal with is a rebellion leader who can take away bending abilities. Here's an idea, BLAST HIM AND SQUASH HIM FOR FUCKS SAKE.
But Either way Korra is actually pretty good so far.

True.. Since she has Access to the spirit world.. then again she hasn't mastered that yet and if her bending is blocked it could block her ability to go into the avatar state or go into the spirit realm. Hmm this grows more and more puzzling.

The equalists leader is skilled in non-bending combat and can duck and dodge bending attacks with ease, plus he uses chi-blocking techniques. You're pretty fucked when having to fight him.

Why.. Do I have the assumption he's somehow related to Yuki?.. Well I have one bending style he can't block: Trollbending.

i just hate the fact that she has learned all the elements except air in the very few seconds of the first episode and it took anng practicly the whole series to learn the elements

Yeah, I didn't like that... but at the same time, it's nice to not have to go through all that jazz again. It's only going to be 24 episodes, I'd hate it if 15 of those were her learning some new bending technique. And don't forget that Aang mastered all the elements by the time he was 12. That's kind of fast, considering most masters of bending are about 40 or so in the show, except for prodigies.

Well, it is pretty hardcore. Only the Avatar had done that before. And in a world where that's all they know, that's groundbreaking. Their fire benders create the electricity in the city, I'm sure the earth benders build the shops and some metal benders make the cars. The water benders probably also generate electricity with watermills and such.

Really, all of them are very useful for the city. That's kind of a bad thing to get rid of.
