Am I the only one who thought he was just going to stun him, turn around the boat, and bring Amon back to Republic City as a prisoner, thus making Tarlok a hero?

This scene in the A:LOK Finale with Noatak/Amon and Tarrlok was heart-wrenching. Seriously, it made me tear up and I still feel depressed about it. I guess Tarrlok realised the cycle would continue if he didn't end it and he wasn't truly a villain. Noatak/Amon was an anti-villain and Tarrlok was an anti-hero. They both believed in what they were doing and Tarrlok's last act was truly selfless, heroic and depressing. In the end he did what he thought was right and protected the people of RC. This scene was truly heart-breaking.

Weird that once evil people lose their bending I feel so bad for them... with Tarlok and that douchey pro-bender... i care more about people losing their bending than the poor people in Africa... Am I a bad person?

I actually felt bad for Amon. You can see his when he's driving the boat, he looks excited, and happy, to be back together with his little brother, after years of separation. He's happy that his days of evil are behind him, and now he has a new future of good times with his brother ahead of him, and then right after saying "It will be just like the good old days" Tarlok has to go and blow themselves up

honestly.. I think that Amon being a waterbender was no coincidence, they were
surrounded by water, he could have made a shield around them right?

I think that it was best for them both to die.. but I'd like for them to still be alive by some
impossibility :D

I find it ironic that they both were in complete control of RC at one point. Had they worked togheter they would have ruled!

When your both the opposition and the government, who can stop you?
