I think the ending was a total cop out and kind of pissed me off.
It was way too rushed. I'm not cool with they Mako/Korra thing going down like that and they totally forced her to airbend and it was just bullshit that after everything, Aang and everyone just shows up and was like, "Lol jk have some bending."

I mean it was a cop out in a sense. Aang defeated Ozai without killing him, and was once again able to access the Avatar State. The Fire Nation was defeated, Zuko became Fire Lord and made it a peaceful nation. I mean everything is basically a cop out, it just depends on how they do it.
I guess Aang's isn't so bad because there was so much leading up to it. You could understand the characters' actions based on what you've already learned about their personalities. They just suddenly decided Tarlock was cool and then being depressed makes you go all avatar state. I mean, did anyone honestly think Aang would have killed Ozai? I know I didn't. He's too peaceful. I just feel like LoK drug out a lot of the story line then raced to tie everything up and it doesn't match.

I think they were kinda forced to. Afterall they only had 12 episodes, and not 20. They had to rush the pro-bending as well (grant it, they were running out of ideas for it, or at least it felt like it). If they had more time it probably wouldn't have felt like it.

Thats really the only reason I like TV shows like this. Storylines can be great, but character development is what really makes it for me. And I kinda call bull shit on that. They were probably only given 12 episodes, and will now probably be awarded a longer season 2 and or another season, unless they just want to be done with it.
