Does anyone know when does season 2 air..? Because i watched the first season finale today and i can't sleep cause i just keep thinking how awesome it was to just get on the computer and watch an episode of A:TLA or LoK that i hadn't seen.. And now that i've seen them all.. It feels like it's.. over. And I know I'm exaggerating a bit but try to understand.

The feeling eventually goes away. It helps if you do start another series though, maybe something that focuses on comedy. Also, it may just be me, but I really don't get the feeling as much as I used to. It may be because I've just gotten used to it over the years, but hey. Enough about me. Might I suggest Nichijou? It's the one in the gif. Or, Azumanga Daioh, Sergeant Frog or Shin-chan. If you want something more serious, go with Gurren Lagann, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Soul Eater, Desert Punk, Eureka 7, Deadman Wonderland or One Piece. I'm currently watching One Piece and I'm only on episode 122 and I'm pretty sure I still have a **** ton left. Sorry for the pretty long list. If you have, for some reason, seen all these, I have a ton more to add if you would like. These are just some off the top of my head. Well, have a nice day / night!

Hmm, alrighty then. (Personally, it depends on the genre or the anime it happens to be if I do that.) But I usually don't think of it any differently than normal shows, or cartoons for that matter. It's just a different art style, or, for some, it has jokes that would only make sense if you watched it with subtitles, which I honestly don't mind. But hey, to each his own.

Korra's power? What power? When she defeated Amon, she couldn't waterbend. In that situation, she should not have been able to break any bloodbending technique, especially since even Aang couldn't do it without the avatar state. The fact that Amon got defeated by airbending when he could have bloodbended her without moving a finger amazes me.

Yes, because a fully-recognized avatar (Aang) can't resist bloodbending without the avatar state, but Korra can? Even when she doesn't have her waterbending?

What I'm wondering is where the power CAME from.

Yeah, but she still did it. I could understand if she was fighting someone like Hama (the first bloodbender), but the fact is, she was fighting a master bloodbender. I doubt even Katara could've got out of it if Aang couldn't.

And Amon was slightly weakened? There was a huge gap where Korra sent attacks at him where he could've gotten her. If he can bloodbend without moving a finger, he should've been able to get her. Why didn't he? She had plot-armor.

Because he was in shock? He literally said, "That's impossible!" when she first airbended. Plus, he had just been launched 20 feet by a blast of lightning. Yes, I agree that is was plot-armor, but in a world where people can conjure lightning with their minds...it's not that far-fetched.

I agree that his shock would've been a reason for him being knocked back, but it's not enough to justify his absolute defeat. You have to remember, Amon was probably one of the most powerful waterbenders (and THE mot powerful bloodbender) in the world. Him losing just because of shock just doesn't sit right with me. He can bloodbend without moving, so being physically incapacitated shouldn't have affected him.

Amon is a character who believes his power is completely flawless. He had assumed that he was finished with her when he took her 3 bending abilities, and when she pulled airbending out of her ass, he had no strategy to combat that kind of ass pulling. Being caught of guard doesn't leave you with much room to fight back, if there is any space at all. Also, Amon is an expert in fighting every other element, as they are all very common, all at the same time though, only 4 airbenders exist. He did not have a strategy for this style. It's very simply a common egotistical character trait which lead to his downfall under a unique story.

How did he know that he only took 3 bending abilities? Additionally, the fact that she pulled airbending "out of her ass" is just bad writing. Plus, I've already said this: Amon can bloodbend just by looking at you. It shouldn't have been much trouble for him to stop her after her first attack. He DID do that, but she managed to get out of it. How did she get out of it?

Also, I completely understand that Amon wouldn't be used to fighting an airbender. But neither was anyone in TLA, and Aang didn't always win.

She didn't just "pull it out of her ass", she was at a heightened emotional state where someone she deeply loved was in danger. It was enough to sever the spiritual block and allow her to airbend. Plus Amon getting hit by lightning was incapacitating for him. It wasn't a little shock, it was full-on powerful lighting. I was surprised to see him standing, let alone bloodbending still. His powers were severely weakened. Next, he thinks Korra is out of the fight already. When he sees her get up and try to bend, he assumes nothing will happen. However, when she airbends he is completely taken off-guard and filled with self-doubt about his own abilities for at least a second until the powerful blast of air knocks him out the ******* window into the water. Amon wasn't some all-powerful being that can resist any attack just by using his bloodbending. He was still a person that had very human characteristics to deal with. It's naive to think that he can just using his bending in a split-second in defense when his focus is elsewhere, he is heavily injured, and he believes Korra is out of the fight.

It was also several people attacking him, that's why Mako could hit him, because the Lieutenant distracted him, and then he was weakened because he had been kind of directly struck by lightning. Not to mention, Airbending is actually very powerful.

So is bloodbending. In fact, you could say that bloodbending is the most powerful form of bending that there is. And yes, because a master bloodbender would have trouble with several people attacking him. He could control people with a single look. I doubt that would matter.

Next time you're ambushed by several people, go ahead and tell me how you can handle keeping all of them pinned. His psychic technique required him to be focused on his targets, and if he lost a bit of focus, then they could move a little. And he wasn't at all used to air benders. Different fighting styles require different strategies.

Yakone managed it fairly well. Tarrlok managed it against several very skilled benders, he even put them out. Now, they didn't use psychic techniques, but they were still bloodbending. Plus, keep in mind that neither Tarrlok nor Yakone were on the caliber of Amon in that area.

Now, Amon was obviously not incapacitated. He didn't HAVE to use his psychic bending. He could've just as easily used his hands to block her. But she managed to get out of it. I just don't believe it.

However, I understand now that the airbending could've taken him off guard. I get that.

I don't think Yakone could use psychic bending, but you're right, that's up in the air since Yakone had already lost his bending when he had his children. I shouldn't have said that as if it were a fact.

I know that lightning is fairly incapacitating. It nearly killed Zuko in TLA. I get that. But Amon could still move, and we know this because after being knocked out of the window, he still used waterbending and made it to the boat. If he could move even that much, he could've used bloodbending. We know it doesn't take much movement from him to produce a deadly attack.

Can you explain the chakra thing better? Do you mean that the lightning blocked his chakras? That would be a very interesting plot twist, but I don't think that's how it happened. If so, firebenders could also be chi blockers. It would be interesting, though, if they pursued that. It's a very good idea.

Well, by that I meant that the electricity, and the energy, disrupted his chakras, so he wasn't able to bend as well as he could normally. I could be wrong. In the end though, the season is done, and they did what they wanted. I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

I understand that. I really like the idea that lightning could mess with chakra. It's the most plausible response I've had.

But I suppose we just have conflicting opinions. That's alright though. It's bound to happen.

Okay let me help you out here. When Korra used her airbending on Amon, Amon wasn't bloodbending her. He just took her bending away and let her sit there.

Indeed it is, the important thing is to make sure you don't kill each other over said opinions. Anyway man, have a great day and all. It's been fun discussing it, sorry if it seemed like I was upset or insulting, I didn't mean to be if I was.

Oh, not at all. You were really great to talk to, and plus, you changed my perspective with that lightning idea. I'm sorry if I seemed insulting too, I definitely didn't want to cause any flame wars or anything. You have a great day too.

Not at all sir, you brought up a good point. I was hoping Amon would take up the majority of the season, versus only a few fights actually involving him.

Definitely. I really liked the triangle that was there when Tarrlok came in. Korra had enemies on both ends of the spectrum. That was amazing writing. I agree with you on the Amon part. It was sad that they didn't have enough episodes to play it out more.

I'm sorry you're so disappointed with the ending. Please, write Season 2 for us then.

I would if I had a conflict to start it with. Korra has her bending, she can return the bending of everyone who lost theirs, and she's with Mako. What conflict does that leave anyone to work with?

If I had a team of writers and animation specialists, plus a conflict (say Korra didn't get her Fire, Water, or Earth bending back and Amon didn't run away), I would love to help write it.

Asami's father is still at large, he wants his daughter back, and he is very, very spiteful. Get your head straight before you try to nitpick every goddamned thing in this show, because I think the developers are quite well ahead of anyone outside of their team.

Before you go ******* on what I said, I correct myself and will still provide a rebuttal. Sato was captured, what I said is completely wrong, but an episode can be made to show the aftermath of the end of the Equalists, such as the persecution of Sato and people like the lieutenant, and what will happen to Korra, because as far as anyone is concerned, she can only use the rest of her bending while in avatar state. This is free grounds to introduce the new primary antagonist and I guarantee that is what will come.

Okay, for one, I wasn't planning on going *******. I don't typically do that when someone provides a good argument. Additionally, I am capable of holding a conversation without insults, alright? If you disagree, that's fine, let's talk about it - but insults are unnecessary.

Now, the idea that Korra could only use her other elements during the avatar state is not one that I considered. If that is a possibility, I see an area for conflict. I am not disagreeing with the fact that there could be a new antagonist, I just think the entire plot of the finale was sugar-coated and that Korra got saved a lot by the plot. That's my opinion.

Think for a moment about why he is always so cold and stoic. He is always shown in front of his enemies or his followers who need to see him that way. For just a moment we see him with the one person he's ever cared about. While it is acceptable to have an antagonist be emotionless, it's even better when you're allowed a small glimpse into them that shows they are indeed still a person, a thinking and feeling person who is yet still capable of the horrors they commit. And on that note about "If you actually knew good writing," I am a writer. Your point about him crying is valid. It was hard for me to picture him like that up until it happened, but it was presented at exactly the right moment, and the only moment in the entire season where it would have fit.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion as much as I am, but I couldn't disagree more. The way the writers anthropomorphized Amon in the finale by making him more vulnerable was one of my favorite parts of the entire season. It was such a huge contrast from episode 9, where he just walks through Tarrlok's bloodbending, and then just says "I am the solution." It made him seem so inhumane. The back story and when we see him crying on the boat (which, I believe is because he knew Tarrlok was going to blow up the boat, and he was sad that he had failed his brother's judgment) lets us see he is actually a human being, much like zuko at the end of the second season of ATLA. But, since our opinions aren't facts, yours is as good as mine.

The _ Amon crying on the boat because he knew what was coming_ was probably one of my favorite movie/tv moments of all time. So well put together, so well writen and so well put to life in animation/sound. Loved the finale. Sorry for double post.

I thought he cried because he knew he was lying to himself.... That things could never be like they were in the good old days... but for just a second it would be nice to pretend.

and the greater thing is they kept the character in balance with past episodes. I saw several shows that screwed up the same concept
