SPOILER: Amon Logic
II I
...
| |
he thinks bending is evil... he's only using it to end it.... Kinda like nukes :D
Well, it makes sense to me. It's like owning a gun (for protection or some shit), but wanting a world where people don't need or have guns.

No. Tarlock said that he was trying to cleanse all benders because Amon thinks it's "evil". Because of the training that his father gave. He wants everything to be equal.

He wanted to get rid of bending because he hated the thought of people dominating others, he turned out like he did due to his fathers treatment of him... damn, does no one have a brain here?

I think it kinda sucked that we never Amon's/Noatok's side of the story.
We heard what happened from Tarlock, but we never really heard anything of what happened after then and what led Amon/Noatok to do what he did.

Amons efforts were pointless. He was born to Yakone and a woman. Both were not benders at the time. He could have taken away everyones bending but it wouldn't matter because it benders would be reborn.
I'm actually not clear on his motives. Based on the way he started to love the power he had while bloodbending, I think he just wanted power and would take away the benders' power and make the non-benders follow him. Then, no one could stand in his way. So, he lied. Shocker, right?
Its logical since he wants domination. If he can get rid of all other bending except his own, he would easily get control.
Doesn't take much thinking to realize

I don't see how that is stupid, that just proves his point even further, if he doesn't want benders and he is one, then people will be more likely to join him in his fight, if he for example weren't a bender, people would just think he wanted to eliminate bending out of envy instead of acctually having proper reasons.

Well a white person might think all white people are evil and try to wipe them all out. It's possible.
it probably was subconsciously avenging his father, i mean 14 years of training you to take over a city has to do something, or he just say how bending could be used to hurt others

WHho the fuck honestly didnt think hes a bender?!?!? and how fucking hard is it to believe someone would want equality?!
I haven't seen the show but I'm guess that he wanted to be the most powerful bender and by getting rid of all the other benders he would be, and he was just using all this equalist hype to gain support and start an uprising
