He doesn't bend Lightningbolt-Zolt's lightning, he dodges it and grabs his arm, forcing it upwards. He never bends, that would be pretty ridiculous, seeing as he's an equalist.

That would certainly be unexpected, but I don't think that is gonna happen. And there is no proof he can bend anything.. He is an incredible fighter, very resistant to even powerful bending and he can take away bending.. But that's it.

Very true, Zhao was killed as you say by Aang's avatar state. And as all his previous avatars tell him in the episode where he's stuck on the giant turtle-lion, he shouldn't be afraid to take decisive action, and to take a life to keep balance in the world.

The point of the moral quandary which Aang finds himself debating is that he doesn't feel he can take a life for any reason "I'm even a vegetarian!" and says he prides himself on being quick and clever to resolve conflict.

There wouldn't be any moral dilemma if killing oppressors in defense of the weak was the issue (See the Firelord incinerating the the entire countryside of the Earth Kingdom)

you cant really tell if the air nomads worship anything,but buddhists did revere and "worship" buddha in a way and adorned their temples with images of him and some other notable monks.You see things similar to these also imprinted on the air temples walls.One can infer that they revere those air nomads the same way the buddhists revere buddha and those monks.

well if you read into what buddhists think about buddha he certainly has some some supernatural characteristics.
