Amon got lightning to the chest. That killed Aang, but Amon was pretty much totally fine just a little bit after. WTF?

One of the rare people to have blue flames. She is easily stronger than Mako.
And mako was also shooting while being bent, which means it was just a random bolt of whatever he could muster. Nothing strong.

I think the lightning in the original series was in stronger, shorter bursts than in LoK. Mako looked like he was using lightning at his job (?) to supply power to the city, so his lightning would have to be sustained over a longer period of time.
Azula's lightning did its damage in an instant, but Mako was electrocuting Amon for a few seconds.
