Legend of Korra seems like a far more mature show.
I loved A:TLA, but LoK seems like they're steeping out of the whole "just give them a great bending battle for a season finale." They're adding more emotion, more adult scenes than A:TLA.
I've never liked a season finale as much as I liked this one. And no, I'm not trying to demean A:TLA at all. I'm unsure which series I like more; I'm going to have to wait until this one finishes to judge.

I have to disagree on the emotion part, the characters in TLA felt far more developed and the connection between them felt more real. As I said in my comment above this I don't think they were given enough episodes to develop the characters as they did in TLA. The characters in LOK are great but still not on the same level as the characters in TLA imo.
