My attempt at Flash Animation.. I saw something similar on FrontPage the other day and thought i would try it. So if there's any Flash animators that see this can you give me some tips. I did the above in about 6 hours with a few breaks..

Why don't you try your hand at Pivot instead? If you're going to be using stick figures, it's better to be using a program intended for it than drawing them yourself.

I made this a while back. too bad it cut off the left side, the virtual camera only works in SWF format so I had to delete the layer and it cut off that portion of the background and scene.

Not too bad, but work on idling. (Make every living thing move a little bit even when they're not doing anything specific.) It will help with flow.

There is not trick to animating other than patience. If you plan on going long term you should buy a tablet to make the job "easier". Don't lose hope though, Vinnie Veritas made amazing work with just his mouse and did not get a table til 2009-ish. Here is one of his early works: www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/196959
