Maybe?. i am not the one usually making what if, but a while ago i read a theory that Amon maybe takes peoples bending for himself. and after seing this (in the trailer for the last episode) i must say it looks like he is bloodbending, the bending style he took from tarlock... he maybe playing all the other equalists in thinking that bending is bad so they would help him

i think that amon uses a very powerfull chi-blocking.. and that the next season will be about korra looking for a way to reverse that chi-blocking.. and im pretty sure that one of the members of the new team avatar will die, i dont know why im getting that feeling.. probably mako or bolin just saying

I really like this theory, and after the new episode it seems to me that Amon is almost collecting all the different types of bending, Lightning bolt Zolt a strong firebender capable of generating strong electrical attacks, the Wolfbats, the "top" pro bending team, giving him strong fire, earth, and water bending, Tarlokk's powerful blood bending and now Lin's metal bending. I mean, these are just my thoughts though.

That was my theory (Amon taking bending away). It's on my profile called "Amon Theory" and I don't think he would show off the absorbed powers considering he is constantly surrounded by Equalists.
