I feel like I just survived an onslaught of red thumbs.

Just blew up. I wonder if he lived or not.

I dont know how the fuck they did it-but the last 3 minutes were the best 3 minutes of my life.

I thought it was cliche. Korra gets avatar state, brings back Lin's bending, gets Mako. It was all fan service crap. I have a gut feeling that Amon is still alive though.

That sacrifice was epic though.

I felt it was kind of a cop out. Amons identity and backstory really felt forced and so did his motivation. I personally enjoyed the theories about the spirits teaching Amon energy bending, and turning on the avatar after he/she/it strayed from its divine purpose. Especially one of the ones on here very recently about Koh and Wan Shi Tong (Though not necessarily those two) I feel it would fit better into the spiritual aspect of the Avatar world and there is so much to learn about and explore. (The conception of the avatar, The spirits, the spirit world, ect.) It just seems to me that so much more could have been done with this arc then pushing a previously deep and intriguing characters entire backstory and motivations into 10-15 minutes and then leaving the (rather short) first season without any kind of real cliff hanger or anything to get me to want to continue watching the show. I'm really dissapoited in the turn this series has taken recently. The seasons being halfed in size from the original show took me by suprise but didn't throw me, but this let down has really kinda spoiled a lot of the experience for me. I know it's a kids show and certainly not geared to my age group but the original series never sacrificed story like this.

That being said I did enjoy the finale and hope they do better in Season 2
