I did read it. and I think this is the exact reason why avatar managed to stay in our minds for 7 years and resurface when LOK came out; NO one is 100% good and NO one is 100% bad, just like IRL.

Superb character analysis! "Everyone has the propensity for gruesome wickedness". Everyone. Even Aang and Katara have gone through the most agonizing pain, yet ultimately they chose good.

In "The Southern Raiders" you realize Katara's complete intention to kill the man who killed her mother. She was almost demonic (blood bending). This was an episode of good vs. evil, Zuko pushing her to take revenge, and Aang telling her to forgive. Pic related.
