I am probably gonna get a lot of red thumbs for this. But if you do what the professor did, and not compare the movie to something else, like you are suppose to do, then nothing seems as bad. Yeah so many will say, "Oh it had bad acting, nothing made sense, they left so much out." Stop comparing it to the show, no its not liquid gold dumped onto a film reel, but if you compare it to something else yeah its gonna look bad. Everyone I know who didn't watch the series and watched the film said it wasn't bad.

And that's why this story is bullshit, no film teacher would watch the series and apologize because compared the two medias and then thought the movie was bad. Thats not how things work. If he compared all the essays in class, everyone except that one over achieving bastard would get an "F" because nothing would compare to that one essay. Teachers are smarter then that, well most are. So this story is bullshit.

I'm probably going to get a lot of red thumbs for this...

>Write a comment with an unpopular opinion
>Start by saying "I'm probably going to get a lot of red thumbs"
>???
>Profit

Additionally, I agree wholeheartedly. But I was disappointed, I kept expecting some classic M Night Shyamalan twist.

I put that stating that I didnt care, because I honestly thought I would get a shit load of red thumbs because the hatred people have for the movie and I was defending it slightly. I was disappointed that aang didnt turn into the big monster, although that is comparing its still what i wanted. other than that, I just didn't lik the actors. too many twilight actors and white eskimos

oh, don't worry, I was not criticizing your comment in any way, just making an observation of past comments I've seen. I agree, I get very annoyed when people have complete hatred of something, such as justin beiber. I'm not a fan, but I definitely don't hate the guy.

I lived in a house with 10 roommates once and we all sat down to watch that movie on one night, and we all thought it was a pretty good movie. Not bad or terrible, not great, but it was worth watching. None of us had seen the anime though. As a stand -alone flick it wasn't too shabby.

Yeah I watched the show, and then I saw the movie, and I did both. I compared it to the show, and took that feedback, then watched it as a film itself, and thought it was okay, many parts that were stupid but not terrible. I have taken three film classes, its a business I wanna get into, and my teacher talked about comparing and he felt strongly against it.
