Air Acolytes. Not airbenders, but non-benders who carry on the traditions of the air nomads.

You will notice that he did not have his airbending tattoos

As far as I know there are Airbenders and there are Air Nomads. The Airbenders were all wiped out when the Fire Nation attacked their temples, but populations of Nomads survived allowing a continuity to the culture (and philosophy).

no because all air nomads were benders, but aang founded the air acolytes, which while not benders embody what the air nomads valued. eventually there will be more airbenders, but i'm talking several hundred years. and when they make air babies, there going to realize they all have the same great great great great grandpa and things will get awkward

It was a non-bender Air acolyte
User avatar #1 - vgmaster (06/09/2012) [-]
thats actually a good point...but i think it might be one of those air acolytes that they have on air temple island. i think they were mentioned somewhere between episodes 6 and 8

Probably an Air acolyte.

She was a non-bemding air tribe "Representative"

It's an air acolyte, notice he didn't have an arrow on his forehead. The avatar is a member of the council or at least has a significant amount of influence on their decisions, so there will be a member of the council from their nation because they already have a role.

You don't have to be a bender to be part of the council...so, it seems that it was one of the people who guard air temple island? They're called air servants or something. But, I don't think it's a bender

tenzin was 8 when this flashback took place so unless they had an 8 or 9 year old the council it's most likely an air acolyte
User avatar #6 - mrwalkerfour (06/09/2012) [-]
could be a young tenzin? tenzin looks around 40 now so at the time he would be an older teen so could be a learning polititian. explains why he is the councilmen now

air acolyte he had no arrows no shut the fuck up with these stupid theories that are created by people with zero common sense. Also Sozin laid traps for the air nomads with air nomad artifacts and when they would come get them they would get ambushed and killed.

Aangs 40. That would make Tenzin 10-20. Bumi is older. Or it could be an air acolyte

Go to the website play the Avatar Republic City walk through, and it tells you that Aang found another herd of Bison near one of the abandoned air temples. They also had to make hybrids of lemurs I believe because these new lemurs look nothing like momo

My question is how the fuck did Appa reproduce?

The air tribe are nomads (Aang said so several times) this means that a large percentage of the airbenders wander freely about the world, and that killing all of them is almost impossible. Most likely, Aang never was the last airbender, but because of the firenations firm grip on the world, they hid their powers and lived in silence, all untill the fire nation was defeated.

I remember reading somewhere though that the fire nation used some sort of method to lure the other nomads to the temples where they quickly captured and killed them. Not sure how legit the source was. just remember reading it. Or maybe it was in the first series somewhere. idk.

Aang couldn't represent the Air Nation because he's the avatar, and he needs to be impartial. But he's the avatar so he'd need to be present at a trial surrounding such a heinous crime against the four nations such as blood bending. The air nomad representative probably wasn't an airbender.

Could be one of his sons
