Let me clear things up for you because you don't seem to understand.
The Avatar is a title.
Aang is the avatar, but he is his own person.
The Avatar is the bridge to the spirit world and the real world.
The ability of the Avatar is 'reborn', but not the spirit of the pass Avatar. '
The Avatar is connected to his/her "pass lives" because he/she is the bridge to the spirit world.

Saying that aang's soul is in Korra is like saying there's hundred of souls in her.

That's correct but worded pretty badly (past not pass for one)

The avatar can probably be described as something of a mutation.
Only one person can be the avatar at one time, they can bend all four elements and their souls are linked to all previous avatars so as to be easily called for by the current avatar in times of need.

However each avatar is their own soul, they merely contact other avatars more easily due to their connection with the spirit realm.

The Avatar is not his only soul, if that were the case then it would be a permanent avatar state, and the past avatars would always have control.
The avatar is part of the whole, the connecting link between the body, mind and spirit, hence why he can go to the spirit world and back, and why he can have every chi open.

the avatars aren't the same person.

the easiest way to imagine it:
there's a super god/spirit who give one person the ability to bend all 4 elements, and be in touch with the spirit world.
when this person dies, the god/spirit gives the powers to the next one.

sure it really doesn't happen like that but that's the easiest way to look at it

unless in the last episodes of the last season there's a part where we see korra, and tenzin's kids all grown up. because the fortuneteller said that she would pass away peacefully when her 3rd great grandchild was born (lets just assume that the fortune teller is right)
