But Nickeloden cant possibly end a ''childrens show'' (or it is at least aired on a cartoon channel) with a double murder/suicide, Asami breaking away from her father, Korra loosing her bending and a love triangle...

Anyway, I liked it alot. I wasn't expecting Aang to come back and give it back to her but I don't think it ruins anything. It was great to end the season with Korra directly entering in contact with Aang (not a flashback). I don't see how it made the entire season pointless when the reason Korra came to Republic City was to have her avatar training. It is a nice completion as Korra has finally mastered all elements and can enter the Avatar state.
Seems like most people liked it too.
