No, chronologically he's 178 years old. Born 12BSC, frozen at 0ASC, unfrozen at 100ASC and died at 166ASC.

It doesn't work like that. He was killed and brought back to life. This could've happened to, let's say Kyoshi, for example. She could have died and been brought back to life, much like Aang, but still lived to be 230 years old.

she havent been killed, mostly lived peacefully, unlike aang all what has happened including azulas lightning shortened his life

I used Kyoshi as an example to demonstrate that no matter how many times you die and are brought back to life it will not affect your life expectancy. It will probably because you keep getting shot with lightening which isn't good but Aang was hit the once.

The creators even said it themselves that it was prolonged Avatar State use that caused Aang's early death.

you know if you think about it. the first avatar was most likely born in a time before all of the other nations knew the others existed. so that means he/she could bend all four elements before the tribe he/she was in even knew about other elements.

how would the first avatar learn how to bend the other 3 if they didnt even know they existed ?

how did the benders learn how to bend originally? they learned from wildlife or just made some it up. the first avatar most have been extremly confused about his/her powers. he/she may not even have learned all 4 elements. that's the point of the calling up past lives for help, so the newest avatar can learn the skills and proverbs of the older avatars

but then who did the first avatar talk to ? must have been pretty lonely in the spirit world back then. I imagine that cause the bending styles are based on martial arts that someone did a kick one day and fire flew out, or that with the other elements

he didn't talk to anyone. or maybe he talked to some of the eldest non-avatar spirits for guideness. when it comes to reincarnation there's always a start.

Korra learned how to bend water fire and earth without anyone teaching her fire and earth.... I assume some of the elements would just come to you.

are you sure they were not refering to her statue that was destroyed?, from all the flashbacks I have seen she was a normal size, and I would think when she popped up in the original series, when she came back to settle an argument, she seemed to be a normal size, but I would expect that is she was 7 feet tall, she would have appeared to be that tall when she took over aangs body. sory if this is hard to understand, im tired as balls and i tend to type hard to understand crap when im tired lol
