Reasons to assign a cabinet with gender parity: Give women a chance to show they have merit in politics Break a previous trend to encourage women to pursue professional careers
The John Oliver response
**ametaphoricalbaby used "*roll picture*"** **ametaphoricalbaby rolled image**I'm not gay, but I think I'd suck his dick. I mean a person can only get so beautiful, and you gotta take an opportunity when it presents itself, right? Just being open minded.
Now I remember what ruined Avatar for me.
The crappy last book, and how the fans completely forgot about everything good that happened in the show besides the last-minute shoehorned ship.
"Shoehorned"
Oh yer do the character development of korra and asami becoming closer and closer over years of trust and friendship that eventually became love is "Shoehorned" never mind the fact that asami was always there to lend korra a helping ha d or shoulder to cry on, or the fact that it was only asami korra wrote to over her 2 year recovery. Nope of was totally for forced, no devolpment what so ever.
You want to know what was shoehorned in? Mako and korras relationship, they hatred each other for 90% of season one and then with no devolment suddenly loved each other cus they're the main male and female lead.
Makorra and Korassami are shoehorned.
It's been made clear that Korra and Asami were just good friends,
and neither of them ever EVER expressed any kind of interest onscreen.
I don't know tito, I remember one specific scene from (I think) season 2, where asami said something random and korra just awkwardly laughed and slightly blushed. Little subtle stuff like that is riddled through the show I think. I would like to here from the creators if korrasami was meditated or not.
The show was supposed to end on Book 1, it was admitted by the authors.
Anything following book 1 was only in order to meet Nickelodeon's updated contract demands. Basically, that's why Unalak's story sucked so much ass.
Then they finally got their **** together and made the ultimate antagonist, Zaheer.
By that point, they ran out of ideas and straightup made a female hitler.
The lesbo plans began during the production of the final book,
and they had no way to illustrate any clues in the meantime.
When they highlighted all the "korrasami moments" in a video, they were literally doing normal friend stuff that Aang did with Sokka. Is this going to imply that Aang was bisexual too?
You probably right, you are tito after all, I just dont remember Aang blushing and emotional with Sokka. I just thought Korra and Asami were a little too buddy buddy even from as early as season 2, and i dont believe in that shipping fanservice **** . Maybe things are just different because they're female, maybe I'm on to something, I don't know.
How would you rank the four seasons from best to worst? And how do they compare to Avatar the legend of Aang? Im not calling it the last airbender anymore.
Season 1 and 2 were both ******** endings that ruined the seasons for me. Felt like I was watching hannibal, where every season finale could have potentially being a series finale...
I do agree that ATLA is better from what ive seen from korra (the first two seasons, gonna watch season 3 soon) but l did enjoy the first season in its entirety even though Korra getting back her bending was really rushed and most of season 2 ( the ending wasnt that great)
Be fair man, it's Nick. The fact that they went as far as they did is a big step considering if they had tried it any sooner Nick would of just cancelled them outright. It's not like they can go about openly showing a gay relationship on a channel trying to attract as many KIDS as possible. A lot of adults are very close minded and wont let their children watch something with an obviously gay couple even though they themselves can watch a show with an obviously gay couple just fine. It's going to take a long time to get the U.S. to accept such things, but I'm sure it will happen given time. In the mean time give the writers a break they're walking a tightrope that involves their entire career and there's a good chance they wont be able to find work again if they're too heavy handed about it.
Again you have to be careful, this is Nick we're talking about and the public blog is looked at more closely as the show airs. If they had made the relationship too obvious or begun hinting at it popularity would of dropped and Nick would of been furious with them. It's just the limitations of TV man.
Well either you go full homo or no homo at all.
Take the cancellation, start a kickstarter to make their own website, continue it as much as they want.
No excuses to just make "Lol they're friends" (Series end) "Lol in fact it's canon lol"
As adorable as Korrasami is from a season 1 perspective, it's a shame the writers sucked at writing romance. I have to say that their usage of the brothers for the sake of romance was not appreciated, especially when Asami was practically cheated on for it to 'work out.'
The end result was something that could be appreciated, since the two did have good chemistry with each other, but the journey to that point was pretty bad.
I feel like if Nickelodeon didn't **** them over on the amount of episodes, especially in the final season, it would gone a lot more smoothly. Is that a word? Let's assume that by the end of a twenty to twenty-four episode third season, Korra and Mako are over, but are still friends, and her and Bolin don't work out, for whatever reason. I could kinda see Korra and Asami developing a strong friendship over the course of the entire show that gets put to the test in the third season with Korra almost dying. They realise how they feel about each other, and communicate with each other via letters to support each other, Asami with her dad, and Korra with her almost dying, being the first/last avatar, and almost losing her bending. Their relationship could flourish in the final season, and in the final few episodes, over the course of the season they try to goad each other into the "L" word first, and we see them holding hands, fighting back-to-back, stand next to each other, etc., and at the end of Season 4, they walk into the new portal, and kiss for the first time.
I think smoothly is a word. At the very least, spell check doesn't yell at me for it!
But yes, that's more or less what I was saying. If it wasn't so rushed and paced out better, it could have worked out into a better story. I personally think the Mako + Asami relationship should have lasted until Season 2, but it's possible they wanted to get the message across just in case they didn't get a second season, I guess?
Either way the canon relationship was pretty awful and I didn't really like Mako to begin with. I also haven't seen anything past Season 1, to be honest. Everyone was saying Season 2 was just a drama fest, so I avoided it and never got into Season 3 since I didn't know all the new characters.
And then they were promptly kicked out of the store, the caps got involved, they nearly got arrested for public indecency and it was super awkward. The end.
Murrlogic why can't you post half decent **** like this? Why is it always ******* weird chainsaw makeouts while talking about industrialization in the 21st century?
I always thought murrlogic needed to die , but man the **** that bitch draws is too ******* much . The only reason people aren't calling him an autist more is because the shows aren't ''weeby'' enough and there's no furry/mlp.
am i the only person that never liked this ship? i only kinda watched the show, and i never really saw a romantic relationship between the 2. it seems like something people would shoehorn in for views and progressive points. can someone shed of light on it for me?
They ended the show with those two together, so not really a ship. Did seem kinda shoehorned though, not from a lack of comparability, but just from neither of them seeming that interested in women or each other except as like best friends. That said, I suck at reading clues on romance a lot of times, so I could have just missed the subtle hints
That makes a lot of sense. Must admit I'm glad book one didn't end it though, just for the Wan episode. That said, a spin-off for Wan would have been a lot better I think, but then would a few of the past avatars
I cant say there were anything like the usual with a couple of blush moments 2-3 episodes before it becoming a relationship, she and Asami did have quite a few moments during the whole show if you look at it where they just kept growing stronger and stronger from being kinda enemies at the beginning.
That's literally exactly what happened. Writers listened to the tumblr crowd's obsession with lgtb ships and fanfics, so halfway through the show they decided to make them break up with the boys and become lesbos.
Then again, did you like the Mako Korra thing, cause honestly to me that had way less leading up to it, she goes to a new city and suddenly becomes bf and gf with a guy she met 4 days ago.
At least the Asami Korra had some leading up to it, I think I started to ship them at the beginning of season 4 after finding out she and Asami had been writing letters all that time while she pretty much not had said a word towards Mako and Bolin.
thats literally the only reason why fedora-tippers and other redditor-tier plebs thumbed up all Korra content once the show was aired here.
Lots of over-sexualized fan-art, discussing breast sizes, shipping until the original show creators forced the lesbian ship in the end of series. No special plot, just overpowered main character who is too retarded to use the given powers and gets stronger just by "power of friendship".
If it was japanese mango animu, we'd call it trash
