Honestly, I thought this was the most shocking part of the entire finale.

Now, having watched all the episodes, I have to say it was a great first season, and I'd give it an 8.7/10

But there were some serious letdowns, namely:

-Korra got her bending back, which I don't mind if maybe it was in a later season or something, but for her to just "go Avatar state and everything is fixed" was kind of lame and really dampened the emotional impact of her getting her bending taken away. The same goes for giving it back. It's basically like Amon wasn't a threat from the start.

-No betrayal from Asami. I was desperately hoping for Asami to ditch the gang and become an independent party (and possible antagonist) for the second season. But instead she seems to all of a sudden be hunky dory with Mako completely shafting her.

-AND THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING ONE.

-There was no resolution to the actual problem, that benders do possess an unnatural advantage and what exactly Korra was going to do fix the exploitation of non-benders. She had no internal conflicts, no deep introspection, nothing. Just "Amon is evil, gotta take him down".
