-I agree with Korra getting her shit back so quickly. I wouldn't have minded having her only airbend while shes in her regular state and only have the ability to cast all elements while in the avatar state.

2nd season already announced, it's 14 episodes long.

-If they made Korra have to get her bending back over time, it would have been great for a new series. Instead of having the problems of a hundred year war and having to work while in hiding, she'd have to find the spiritual way of getting her bending back, which would have been harder than simply mastering the elements (because no one knew if it was possible). So she would have to spend a lot of time in the spirit world, meet new people, and travel to new places, which is fine since so much has changed since Aang's time. And all of this would have been nostalgic; she had to start with only air bending again with no idea of what she's going to do, she could have visited well known places and see what's changed, learned new things, met new people, etc. It would have been great. But fuck the fans.

-I agree somewhat; at the very least, Asami gave up everything (LITERALLY) and still didn't get Mako, while Korra for some fucking reason did. That also just fucks Bolin over; he was the only nice one to Korra from the beginning, and had a genuine love interest in her. Mako was a dick when he first met her, already had Asami when things brew up too. So pretty much they just THROW AWAY BOLIN AND ASAMI. After the whole Mako-Korra Kiss when Bolin was heartbroken, he literally lost all importance to the series; nothing but the jokester.

-Really. Even if Amon took Lin's bending and was supposedly "evil", I never thought him as bad. I thought he was like Batman; he brought his idea of justice without ever killing anyone and was not supported by the law. He really didn't do anything evil; he took bending away, not lives; he just brought people down to his level (or at least the "basic" level), and he was just in doing so, since the benders were corrupt with power.

Not really. Though it was never announced, if you think about it, it's obvious that Benders get the easy life. Benders have all the abilities of non-benders, plus new ones. Benders should in that sense, have many more available job options, and should have an easier time climbing to power. The only non-benders with high ranks that we've seen is Bumi, and his relation to Aang would have pulled some strings.

I understand the whole "brains over brawn" thing and agree with it, but to put is simply it isn't exactly that same concept in the working world. If Bender's can do the working jobs MUCH easier than non benders, than theoretically more Benders should be hired. You saw it yourself with Mako's job at lightning bending for power, the most popular sport for the city being an only Bender's sport, etc. I'm sorry to have gotten off as completely opposite there; I do agree with you on the side that nonbenders are a huge part of society too, and still have many high roles, but all major characters other than Salami and her family were benders...

But technically now that we know that Korra give people their bending again, can't she just give anybody any one bending ability? I mean, it's another unproven thing, and I doubt she would take the time, but thanks to the Avatar's holy judgement, she does have a lot of leeway.

And on the side note, even if the society is corrupted, EVENTUALLY guns and other types of sciences will come around (that's how it worked for the real world; archery = good, cannons = good, guns = good, same historical concept with the industrial revolution), so bending will eventually lose a lot of superiority, and the most efficient way to deal with anything would be so that just about everyone can do it. After all, Satomobiles, the blimps, and airplanes pretty much revolutionized travelling in general, so when cranes and other machines become invented, bending won't be such a high card anymore...

but who knows.
